Andy and Rae's 50th Birthday Celebration - 2005

I just broke the news to my DH this morning that "IF" this is what DCL is doing next summer I want us to be on the voyage back to Canaveral...................he knew I was up to something when I kept saying "Honey, I love you so much!!". He loves the cruises too--just not as crazy as me (planning what I'll eat a whole year out, etc). I told him to change his deductions on his pay and claim "0" single so we can get a big refund and pay for our trip!! I am forfeiting my cruise this year (need to erase that countdown timer!!) so we can take time off when my MIL comes for Christmas for 3 weeks...........isn't there a rule about not having company for more than a week?? Lucky me. Anyway--I figure 3 weeks of my MIL definitely DESERVES that repositioning cruise back to FL--no matter the price!!!!!!!!

Rae--LOVE my Saturn!!

Is there anyone interested in East to West repositioning cruise? I don't think I'd be able to do the West to East -- right at the beginning of the school year. But, I'd LOVE the East to West.

Rae and Andy won't want just any stateroom

Rae's cabin is 5622, as long as I get on the ship, I don't really care where I wind up!!! :hyper:

I'm partial to 6134 or 6634 but we haven't stayed there yet. We will in October! I just called the Castaway Club and they would not even hint about knowing anything. They did confirm that I will get the 10% discount and stateroom credit if we take one of the cruises not yet released. The CM on the phone checked with his supervisor who checked with her supervisor to get the answer. Hopefully they're right. I'm sure it's going to cost a small fortune anyway.

Ok, here's more speculation...We were told on ship that the 10% could only be transferred to a 7 day cruise. Does that mean that the cruises will be 7 days or more only during the California jaunt? I hope so!!

AMEN to both those!

And I never thought I could enjoy a car after being a MiniVanMom for so long, but as long as the saddles fitted in the trunk, I was sold and now that I'm in it, I really LOVE IT!!!!

And yes, warning to whom so ever takes 5622, I know where you sleep and I will "GET YOU"!
I'll probably get 5624 for Mom and Michael!! That way I can pick my neighbors - none on the left, and Mom on the right!!!!

8590. Our family of four likes the Cat. 4 family staterooms. We had 8590 on our first cruise last year. We wanted a veranda with the clear railing and starboard. This cabin is aft, down a quiet hall, but has quick access to Topsiders. We enjoyed it so much we booked the same room for this Memorial Day. But as Andy said, we'll be happy just to be on the ship for this cruise!

That sounds like a blast! Esp. with a discount.
New to the board, but count me in if it is alright with ya'll!
NSwift

I would be taking DH, DS (16), DD (15)

Since you are from Poughkeepsie, you can have two rooms!!
That's close to HOME for me and I always make sure my "homies" have their wish!

Well Rae, if you insist...

By the way, if you don't mind saying, where is HOME for you?

I wondered if you'd notice, daughter dearest. Mind you, I think you have at least one friend there already, hey Rae?

Me?
Friend?
I take no hostages!

I am "THE RAE", Queen of Shrimp and Mango Tangos!

Born Monticello, NY, raised in Woodbourne and Coxsackie, colleged in Albany - home could be on the banks of the Hudson at Olana (Hudson, NY) - doomed to spending my present in Indiana and probably my future....well, let's not get quite that far yet, I am repenting!!!!

But for now, home is where my horses are! Red Raptor, Tytefit and Scooter!

Hugs to all -
Rae

You go girl!!!!!!!!!

Now if you were on the same cruise as you were last May, you would be cruising during May 5th.

And I'd have Three Circles with me on that one! AGGGHHH! Oh well, I'll just plan to be at the 'puter in the wee hours like a few others I know!

Traded "Scooter" for a 11 year old "gaited" horse for Michael. A nice sorrel (red) with a white blaze, he looks like "Red" but his name is "Magic"! Now it that strange, or what?!!!

Was in the low 50's yesterday and we are headed to the low 60's I just heard!!!! Of course, tomorrow is forecast for rain and thunderstorms!!!

So, we are all in agreement that we are planning for the west to east repositioning cruise - probably 10 nights and $$$$$.
Anyone hear back from a travel agent on a group rate?

Rae

Hey, guys, remind me, please. If (and it's still quite a big if), we were to book this speculative 10 day cruise when it became available in May, what happens when we cruise in October. Do we have to make a new booking to get the stateroom credit and cancel the original one, losing staterooms etc. OR can we just transfer the booking we have already made and get the credit. i suspect it will have to be the former and I don't suppose it matters either way, but I would like to be clear.

Thanks people.

Karen

Think about what the weather will be through the Canal each way. May might be better than August.

The only thing with May is, my DD will be a Freshman in high school next year and we wouldn't dare think of taking her out of school for two weeks. Here, in our school district, the school year tends to end the middle of June, and we always start back up the first Thursday after Labor Day. The Disney "SPECULATION" is agonizing!!! :hyper: The $$$$ is also going to be a factor, as we are a one income family.
