Android Tablets?

Considering getting one of the Colby Tablets for my fil but I have questions...Can he get on web sites? He has a laptop that he can't operate he needs something easier. Are they easier? I know what an ipad can do are they similar but without the name?
He would be using it for snowy days when he can't get out. Mostly to access The Daily new.com and sports updates.. would this work?

Yes surf net with andriod tablets. Understand that it not a ipad and you will be fine. Some screens are capitve and resitve. Make sure get Andriod Froyo and up on the coby tablet okay.

I have heard good and bad on the Coby tablets. Some of them are realyl cheaply made and getting bad reviews. Also a capactive touch screen is MUCH better than a resistive, especially for an older preson. They are just easier to use and mor accurate. This will NOT be an ipad by any means, but will do things like basic web surfing fine. I would look for at LEAST android 2.2. Earlier versions are very restricted in what they can do.
