I am waiting on the Amazon tablet that suppose to come out between now and Christmas. Now that will not stop from getting a tablet around Black Friday now if see a good deal on one.

my tablet needs are something check email on, playing games, read book, surfing the net while traveling. I don't need something expensive for that.

I am hoping Amazon have good deals on tablets for the Christmas season too.

so this is just like an Ipad but with less memory, right? My kids want ipads for Christmas but that will blow there Christmas budget.

It was $75 with shipping. I rolled the dice and just ordered 1, thanks for the heads up.

Is this tablet any good. Thinking of buying it. Just want something to check email and surf web when on vacation or away from home.

I think it would be fine that all want do. Just don't expect Ipad quailty.

I also rolled the dice and ordered 2. One is for my DD and 1 for my niece. They will mostly be used for reading and surfing the net. Fingers crossed that they are not junk!

I think I'm going to pull the trigger! My kids will be excited, I just hope I don't regret buying them.

The Android tablet uses Android operating system developed by Google, so it's not the same as iPad, which uses the IOS. You cannot use iTunes apps on the Android and vice versa. That being said, some apps are available for both operating systems. I have both Android and IPad and I actually like the Android better. Both will work for web surfing, e-reading (think Kindle and Nook) playing games, music, etc.

Thanks! I pulled the trigger and ordered two! They'll be good starter tablets for the kids.

The only reviews I've seen for it are pretty bad. Seems it is only usable if you install custom firmware.

Also note this is a resistive touch screen not capacitive, so no multi-touch like an Ipad... means lots of games will also not work well.

I hate to be the voice of reason, but just keep in mind that you get what you pay for!
Last black friday I bought the Sylvania Android tablet thinking, $130 was an awesome deal for a tablet. It is now a paperweight. The wi-fi loads slower than dial-up, came with an older version of the operating system so it can't access the android market, and the battery shuts off after less than an hour. It was an expensive lesson for me.
If you buy a $69 tablet, you are probably going to get $69 worth or performance out of it.

1saleaday does not offer refunds, so keep that in mind if you order. Mine is for my 4 year old grandson, hopefully it will work enough for him.

I bit! I got one for my 87 yo MIL who just wants to have an email address so she can get things from grandkids. She has an email at our company but didn't want a "big" computer in the house.
I'll let all the GK's teach her how to use it. My DM just got started on computer stuff at 80 and I swear I get 15 emails a day from her and her freinds. Dear Dad is on the computer from stock market open until close so DM never had the chance to get online. She's having a blast! I'm sure DMIL will do the same.
Do you know how difficult it is to convince your 80 year old parents dial up is not the way to go? All of us daughters got them WiFi 2 years ago for life for their 60th wedding present.:rotfl:
I said all this because not everyone needs all the bells & whistles. Just a simple product.

Anyone else have an opinion? Is this a good deal? I was thinking of getting it for my DD(10), my Mom for reading and maybe myself. :confused3

What do ya think?
