Well, were on the plane, middle seats MG and me sat together, MGS and MGD sat in front (stop tapping my head). Great seats for the TV
. Our captain informs us that ut will take roughly 8 hours and that we would be setting off on time (where are those cotton buds).
After the regularities (seat belts etc.) we were in the air.
We were informed of the service we would be given, 2 meals, a snack, drinks and duty free (cheaper, after all no one owns the air). The entertainment was the Simpsons, 2 movies (Oliver Twist, In her Shoes) the latter being quite "blue" at the beginning, anyway the films were rubbish in my opinion, should have left the Simpsons on. Then disaters strikes, major headphone failure, the adaptor broke (quality craftsmanship), didnt bother asking for anymore. Sat back to play on the PSP, whoops forgot to charge it before we left, thought I'd covered everything. Then much to me annoyance, the guy next to me had his fully charged, volume full blast. Nevermind iPod was in full mode.
Got chatting to various folk on the journey, very friendly bunch. Ended up playing trivial pursuit for most of the journey.
We arrived in Sanford (local time 15.10), lot of bulding work at the airport, we had to be dragged to the terminal building via tractor.
Got off the plane (aren't people messy)
Straight to security, are first taste of queuing
. Having reached the red line,we entered passport security, wow this has changed a lot, all for the better though. Cannot help looking at the security guards name "Colon", do I ask him to cleanse my soul, no he is bigger that me. Fingerprints and Photos taken we enter baggage claim, fastest ever (3 mins) and we had our suitcases. Gave the customs form in, were nearly on full holiday mode.
Went to pick up Villa keys, which was a doddle, left secuirty deposit (zip-zap), got directions, gutted slightly we were on US27, not to worry. Next stop Dollar, we decided to upgrade vehicle for the hell of it, never usuallly do this however the deal was just too good, Town and Country people carrier, loads of space, inc Sirius digital radio, well recommend this car.
Weather was quite warm, late 60's
Next time: Journey to Villa and 1st evening
