Hey Dis Gang I know that there has been alot of talk on the boards about the Weather in Florida lately with the Hurricanes. But in my Hometown of Columbus Ohio we had some bad weather back on June 25-26 around 11:30pm We were under a Tornado Warning for 45 Minutes that night . Just a few days later I found some Videos on youtube of the Event . Good News no confimed Tornado Touchdowns , but a scary night indeed. Soo here are some of the footage of the Storm as it happend on June 25-26, 2008 on Youtube.

Im thankful that there were no Tornado touchdowns that night. That was one scary night :scared1: :scared1:

when i was visiting my mom back in mid-June, suburban detroit was suddenly hit by numerous unexpected tornadoes...

one of them hit my mom's house....only 10 minutes AFTER the tornado hit, did the tornado siren finally go off.....

my mom and i were trapped in her house for 24 hours..
and we (and 150,000 other people) didn't have electricity for a week...

i've seen lots of tornadoes over the years, but it was first time i actually saw one up close and personal..

i heard noise and looked out the window...and then just stood there dumbstruck....the moment you see it swirling around you, you know immediately what you're seeing...

then came the crashing booms of the damage...

anyway...that was in june...

WOW! That had to be scary, Glad that you are okay. In 1983 I was Vacationing in Winston-Salem NC with my church when a F2 Tornado Touchdown near the hotel were we stayed we seen the Twister hit a few houses and flatend some trees and tore part of church's roof of but no one was hurt.

I grew up in central Illinois and have vivid memories of the family huddled in our basement, "AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS!" waiting for the tornado warnings to end.

I'll never forget dismissal time one afternoon when I was in high school. We walked out and smack dab in front of the school, a few miles in the distance (it's central Illinois, there are NO HILLS), we watched a funnel cloud turn in to a bona fide tornado. Fortunately, it ran at an angle to the school and so didn't pose a direct threat. Unfortunately, we were morons and piled in our cars to go chase the @#$% thing. (KIDS -- DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!)

I know first-hand the fear that comes with the unknown that tornadoes bring. At best, you know that conditions favor their formation. You rarely know when one has actually formed.
