Hi all I do not post often, but I am a big reader of the DIS. I had my Fairy tale Wedding on 3/10/ 07. I thought you all would like to hear my story and see the tons of pics. I hope you enjoy.

Day 1 – Travel Day-Oh No it’s Snowing

I am going to start these recaps on the morning of March 7.

I woke up very early, around 6:30. It had not been a good week, on Monday morning John left and then I was in a car accident. I turned on the news because they were predicting snow. Of course I look out the window and it was coming down pretty hard. My flight was supposed to be at 4:30 that afternoon. After thinking about it I decided to call Jet Blue to see if there were delays and what it would cost to change my flight. I did wait until around 8 to call, a very nice customer service agent told me it would cost $25 to change my flight. I whipped out the bankcard and was confirmed for the 11:40 flight. When I got to the airport I found out the flight was delayed until 12:30. They loaded the plane at 12:25. We sat on the ground for the next 2 hours waiting to be de-iced. Let me tell you t was a strange process to watch. I had a window seat on the wing so I could see pretty well.

At 2:30 we took off. It was a smooth quick flight. We landed around 430 or so. It took a long time to get a shuttle from the airport. I could not use Magical Express because my reservation did not start until the next day. The plan was to stay in the room with my Matron of honor and her family.

Finally I got to the Boardwalk and met them at the boat dock. Their six year old came running up the ramp waving. It was so good to see them. We grabbed some dinner on the Boardwalk and caught up. John was staying at a hotel offsite with his dad and one of the groomsmen.

Since I was there, my friend and her husband went out to Pleasure Island while I watched her kids. The kids and I had fun playing while the adults got a night out on their vacation

Up next Animal kingdom and only2 days to go.

Day 2 Thursday 3/8/07-Is that a baby Giraffe?

The day started out a bit later than either myself of my matron of honor would have liked. Even the kids slept in. Once everyone was awake and clean the 2 kids, their mom and me took off for Animal Kingdom. Her husband and a few others had tickets to the spring training game between the Atlanta Braves and The Yankees. After a long bus ride we made to the park by at about 9:30 we were all hungry and we decided to see if we could get a seat at Donald’s breakfastasaurous. They did have room for us, but I have to say it was not that great. I think because we were in the last seating the food was not that fresh and we waited forever to see the Characters. We were completely finished eating and not 1 character had gotten to our room yet. It would not have been that bad but trying to keep a 2 year old occupied for a long time was not easy. Once they got to us the characters were a bit rushed. Over all I would probably skip this breakfast next time. There are better character meals.
After breakfast we went on a few rides. First of course. for the kids was Triceratops Spin. It was a walk on. Then I took my favorite six yr. old on the prime evil whirl. He really did not like it. He said I don’t want to ride that ever again when we got off.

We then picked up fast passes for the safari and hopped the train for Rafiki’s planet watch. The kids liked the petting zoo and we saw Pocahontas, Rafiki, and Jiminy Cricket. I have to say the cricket was strange looking but it was nice to a new live character. By the time we finished at planet watch it was time for our Safari. The standby line had a 90-minute wait and we were on in 10 minutes. I love fast pass. We saw lots of animals and had a great ride. We even saw the baby giraffe.

Once we finished the ride it was time to head back to the hotel. We stayed at the Boardwalk. John had checked us in while I was at the park and I wanted to see my parents. Oh yeah I wanted to see John too since I had not seen him in 4 days. I parted way with the kids and their mom. They were going for a swim and to EPCOT.

I met John and my parents at the pool bar. We had a drink then decided to eat at the ESPN zone for lunch. It was good food and the air conditioning felt awesome after a morning in the park. We went to my room so my dad could try on his tux. We got all the tuxes from men’s warehouse. All the tuxes were picked up in Orlando. It was so convenient. There was a bit of a problem and my parents had to return to the store to exchange the Jacket. They planned to join us for dinner at O'hana. We went to the pool for a quick dip.

Unfortunately there was a massive traffic jam and my parents could not make it back for dinner. We asked a few others if they wanted to go but got no takers so we skipped it. John and I walked over to the Beach club and got burgers from Beaches and Cream. It was nice to spend time with just him. After dinner we had some work to do. We put together all the welcome bags and the gift bags for the wedding party. It did not take us long to finish so we met some friends at the Big River Grill and sat outside having a few drinks. It was nice. I was very tired so went up at about 11 or so and I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Up next-T-minus 1 day.

Congratulations! You look great in that picture. I can't wait to read more!

And I am glad to hear things went smoothly with Men's Warehouse in Orlando. We are using them and with 6 tuxes we need things to be perfect!

Day 3- Part 1 Not the tower of Terror

John and I woke up around 8 and walked over to have breakfast at Spoodles. It was very good and the place was nearly empty. I liked the restaurant and would like to go there for dinner. John had to do some errands with his father and a groomsman. I called my friend who is also in the wedding party and we met at MGM. Once in the park we made a bee line for The tower and Rockin Roller coaster. We got a fast pass for the coaster and waited 10-15 minutes for tower. I love that ride. The fast pass was not ready yet so we went over to star tours and walked on. Next came the Muppets 3D. So cute and reminds me of when I was little. Our fast pass was open so we walked back down Sunset BLVD. We both really enjoyed the ride. When were getting off my mom called. She picked up my aunts kids and were coming in the front gate. Both kids are also in the wedding party. After meeting up it was time for the coaster again. We walked right on. Both kids loved the ride. We then went to check the wait for tower. On the way over the 11 yr old (who i took to Disney when she was 8) did not want to ride. She did not like it the first time. Her brother, who is 7 and fearless, is excited. He calls her a chicken and clucks at her. So she came with us. My mom did not ride so she got to hold all the bags. Once on the ride the 11 yr. old regretted her decision. The poor kid tried to curl into a ball and screamed the entire time. Her brother loved it and wanted to go again. The line was too long so he did not get a second ride. We met my mom and decided it was time for lunch.
Once we ate, it was time to meet the power rangers. The 7yr old was soo happy. He is a big fan.

It was getting late so the last ride was the back lot tour. The kids really thought you were going to get wet in catastrophe canyon. Once we were done I left to go get ready for the rehearsal and the welcome party.

Up Next Day 3 Part 2

Day 3 Part 2 Lets move it people

I left the park at 3 pm. I missed the boat from MGM so I walked back to the Boardwalk. There was a bit of a party going on at the pool. John his parents and a lot of other wedding guests were there enjoying the 80 degree weather. I stopped there but could not stay because I had too much to do. First I had to find my parents room. They got a 1 bedroom garden suite for the weekend. It was far from the lobby but was a gorgeous split-level looking at a quiet pool. Once I found my Dad (mom was still in MGM with the kids) I trekked back to John’s parents’ room and got my dress and everything else I would need for the next morning. We also loaded my dads rental car with the welcome bags so they could be handed out at the party. It took a lot longer than I estimated and I really had to rush to get a shower and dress.

The rehearsal at the boardwalk with Rev. Jack was supposed to start at 6:30. At 6:15 I get a call from my mom that Kevin “fell” in the hot tub and they need to dry his clothes. His parents are in the lobby and the rest of the guests are starting to arrive. We are running late and no one will take the short walk to the convention center because they are all to busy yapping. Finally I get mad and start to leave. My Matron of honors son, Frankie who is in the wedding party as well sees me start to leave and asks his father if he can go with me. So me and Frank walk all by ourselves. We are talking on the way and I thank him for coming with me. He is the only one that did what I asked. He says Michelle you are my best friend that’s why I came with you. It was so cute. I felt all the stress go away at that point. We find Kate from DFTW give her the unity candle, place cards, programs and whatever else she needed from us. Eventually the rest of the group arrived and we started. Frankie’s Mom was first there looking for him. She did not know he got permission to leave so I had to tell her and her him out of trouble.

Once everyone was there the rehearsal went well. We practiced and laughed. The two little ones were absolutely adorable. They walked hand and hand all the way down to the front. After practice it was time to get the vans provided by Johns mom to head over to the Celebration town tavern. John went with everyone else. I stayed behind with my mom, Aunt and Lacey, the 11 year old jr. Bridesmaid. My Uncle And Dad pulled up in the cars and we got in. Apparently the man running the transportation, sent a limo for John and I but I was with my parents so John Kevin Frankie and a few others used the Limo. It was a nice surprise and I would have liked the limo ride.

We had a GPS system and it did not work very well. It got us lost and I do not know what we would have done without cell phones. The joke for the rest of the night was make a u-turn now. In the end we got there and it was fun. The food was good and everyone got to talk and relax. Here are the only pictures I have from that night.

Up next the Day 4- THE BIG DAY

Day 4- Yay it’s my Wedding Day

I stayed in my parents room the night before the wedding. My sister and I slept on the pull out couch. It was pretty comfortable. I think I was a bit nervous. I woke up at 5 am. It was like Christmas morning everyone was asleep and the kids are just waiting to rip open the presents. Time went by very slowly. Finally at 7:30 my parents woke up and we went to the concierge lounge for some breakfast.

After breakfast we went back to the room and met the parade of ladies coming to get ready. Ana arrived on time and got right to work on my hair. I asked for a simple curly do and that is exactly what she did.

Here is the finished product

She worked on everyone like a one woman assembly line. As one finished another sat in the chair. The time flew by and now we are running a little late.

We got me into my dress, which was not that easy.

Day 4 Continued-The Ceremony

After the pictures it was time to go over to the wedding pavilion. I was nervous but happy. Then it seemed to go fast I was locked in the Brides vestibule and did not see anyone walk down the aisle. Here are some pics of what I missed

Remember last night when I said the little ones walked perfectly hand and hand down the aisle. Well apparently that did not happen.

Johns cousin thought quickly once the kids started to have problems and jumped up and walked with them to the alter. It was a funny moment that was caught on tape. Everything else went smoothly.

Once the doors opened and I saw John all the nerves were gone.

michelleandjohn31007407.jpg

We had a short ceremony. John kept saying things to me to try to make me laugh. Later on everyone was asking why I was giggling it was great.

Once the ceremony ended we walked up the aisle

Then did the staged exit

We had finger slingers the were so much fun and did not hurt or stain the dress like rice or rose petals.

While most of the guests went to cocktail hour on the bus the wedding party stayed for pictures here are a few:
