And They Lived Happily Ever After - A June '11 Disneymoon TR! THE END - NEW PTR!

I really love how even though you are at Disney, you are still relaxing and not going park commando. :thumbsup2

Yay, great updates! BB is so cute, I haven't been there since 2008, and my DH just asked me on this past trip why we never do water parks anymore, so I guess we'll be going back sometime! I will NEVER do Summit Plummit again, though! Looks like you guys had a fun day there! :thumbsup2

I love the Beach Club, isn't Cape May so good? I'm glad you guys had some time to explore the Beach Club area, I love the Epcot resorts, I'd really like to stay there again! :)

great updates!!! I'm glad you did a review of Cape May! I almost ate there on Thurs and then we decided to cancel and eat at Epcot instead. Did you feel it was worth the money? We would have been paying OOP for the meal using TIW card for the discount. Yay for the Water Park APs! I have one as well..pluto!!!

Looked like a lovely relaxing day at Blizzard Beach and at the Beach Club :goodvibes

We've not been to BB for a few trips, DH prefers the theming at Typhoon Lagoon.. but I do love BB - like you say, it's a bit better designed (I like that you don't have to carry the tubes up to the slides but there's conveyor belts to do that for you!)
Interesting about the family raft ride.. I remember we did that as just the two of us in 2006.. but we did fly around the slide a bit too quickly! - probably best to have 4+ guests together hehe.

We really like Cape May Cafe, I've only had dinner there so might try the breakfast on a trip in the future!

Emma princess: x

Great update!!! I LOVE your bathing suit cover up - very cute! :goodvibes And so glad to see that you escaped BB without another "souvenir"! :thumbsup2 I've never been to Cape May Cafe but it's on my "list" of must-dos someday. I have been to that resort just to walk around and explore and I agree, I'd love to stay there someday myself!

Great day!

I don't understand though why you were kicking yourself about not bringing your photopass card? You can just get a new one from whoever is taking your picture and upload all your photopass cards on the same account when you get home. I think we had 6-7 cards by the end of our trip!

I could understand your being apprehensive to go to BB after getting sunburned at TL. Sounds like you guys had a good morning. Teamboat Springs is my favorite family raft ride. I love the fact that it's so long.

Love Cape May! Great instructions showing why you don't eat crab legs too often. I agree, too much work!

The idea of APs for the waterparks is a great one, especially if you feel like you may use them again within the next year. :) The cost to get into a Disney waterpark for just one day is insane at over $50!!!

I really want to try Cape May Cafe. Next time...

I love that you guys had a pretty relaxing day. I generally don't put relaxation and Disney together but you guys have managed to do it!

Your day definitely sounds relaxing-- I need to build in a day like that our next trip! There were way too many nights and mornings I was just completely exhausted!
Your dinner looks really yummy! We haven't tried any of the buffets at WDW (we've dined at Ohana, WCC, places like that, but not an actual buffet) and really want to! Cape May looks like a good choice for that!

Your trip sounds so perfect, Courtney! Seems like you did a great job relaxing and trying new things.

Woohoo for a double update!!!

I hate that y'all got rained out at Blizzard Beach!

Wow, Cape May looks so yummy! Don't they offer a Clam Bake, or am I think of another restaurant?

Your trip has been amazing so far!
Cape May looked so yummy. I have never been there, but will def. consider it for our next trip. Can't wait to hear more.

I am glad that you eluded a sunburn and still had a great time at Blizzard Beach before the storm!

Your lunch looked yummy!!!!

I love the Beach Club, Yacht Club resort areas :) I've never been to CMC, but the buffet looks scrumptious!!!

I am so glad that you are enjoying your disneymoon and relaxing :) Can't wait to hear more :)

I also have to chime in and say what a cute bathing suit cover-up you have one! I would love to find one that like, I'll have to start searching earlier next summer, I feel like I'm always behind the eight-ball when it comes to summer clothes shopping, and things are always picked over when I get around to it! anyway!

I hope you guys got back to BB one day during your vacation so your DH could ride Summit Plummet! I've only done it once, and that was enough for me, but I think everyone should give it a try, just to say that they have done it!

I can't believe you guys went to Cape May and didn't get any clams! ;) I love Cape May, if you like seafood it is definitely worth the money, and I have found the non-seafood offerings to be good also!

It looks like you guys had a great day!

I really love how even though you are at Disney, you are still relaxing and not going park commando. :thumbsup2

I tried very hard to make it a point to relax! :thumbsup2

We LOVE Cape May. I'm always surprised that it doesn't have a bigger following here. It's one of our favorites! :thumbsup2

You must try CMC! We've never had a disappointing meal there (breakfast or dinner). The variety is great and the food is always super tasty. :goodvibes

I liked the theming of TL better, too, but I do think the layout at BB is much better. I bet you really did get thrown around with just the two of you! I felt like we were going to be thrown out of the tube even with 5 people! :scared1:

Thank you! I search a long time for a cute coverup!

I guess I didn't even think about getting another card. That makes sense now, though! :headache:

We loved Teamboat Springs! That was definitely my favorite of all the rides at the water parks. :thumbsup2

I couldn't believe how expensive the water parks were! Especially when it seems like most people don't even stay there all day. :sad2: I'd like to say that we'll get more use out of our APs, but I don't see us going there on our next trip (in February). Oh well! :confused3

Your day definitely sounds relaxing-- I need to build in a day like that our next trip! There were way too many nights and mornings I was just completely exhausted!

I was very determined not to over do it this trip. I think we did a pretty good job, but there were definitely moments that I felt "not right" about taking all that time to do nothing. :lmao:

Your trip sounds so perfect, Courtney! Seems like you did a great job relaxing and trying new things.

Thank you! I think we did a pretty good job of it, too. I was proud of myself!

Wow, Cape May looks so yummy! Don't they offer a Clam Bake, or am I think of another restaurant?

The rain actually came at the perfect time - I think Miguel was wanting to do some more rides but I was ready to go! :lmao:

Yes! Cape May does have the clam bake. :thumbsup2

Your trip has been amazing so far!
Cape May looked so yummy. I have never been there, but will def. consider it for our next trip. Can't wait to hear more.

Thank you! We had a wonderful time! :goodvibes You should keep Cape May in mind! We love it there. :thumbsup2

I am glad that you eluded a sunburn and still had a great time at Blizzard Beach before the storm!

I was SO happy that I made it out of BB without a burn. I was so worried that I would have to deal with that again. :sad2:

Thank you for the compliment on the coverup! I searched a long time for one! I find that most either don't cover enough, or they cover up too much! I thought that one was a nice balance. I actually found it at TJ Max for like $12. :thumbsup2

I'm very impressed that you tried Summit Plummet! I could NEVER do it. I think Miguel was too scared, too!

DAY 7 – Pt. 1

Day 7 of our honeymoon was our DHS day, which meant one thing: we had to be up nice and early to make it to the TSM mad dash! My original plans had us taking it easy that morning and getting to the park around 3:00 for our very early Fantasmic dinner package ADR, but we decided the night before that we’d rather get to the park early and be able to enjoy the attractions that we actually like there, take a break in the afternoon, and return for our dinner and the show.We quickly got up, showered and dressed for the day and then we headed out!

By the time we made it to the park, the entrance was already packed!

As irritating as I think it is to have to plan your entire day around making sure you get to a park in time for ONE attraction, I will admit that I think it’s exciting to be a part of the dash to Pixar Place!

I always debate about whether we should ride first and then try for FPs, or just get the fast passes and then move on to the rest of the park while everyone else is in the standby line. On our last trip, we chose to get in line first, but this time, I opted to get fast passes first since the line to ride was already really long and Miguel was itching to go on Rock n Roller Coaster.

After we had secured our passes for later, we immediately made our way over to RnRC and hoped in line. If you read my previous reports, then you will remember that I was pretty much terrified of this attraction, but I conqured my fears on our November trip by riding it! I hated every minute of it, but I was so proud of myself for braving it, so I felt compelled to try it out again.

It definitely wasn’t as bad since I knew what to expect. In fact, I kind of liked it! So much so, that we got in line and did it again!

I again felt very proud of myself for not only trying RnRC again, but for going on it twice in a row! Miguel was pretty impressed, too. Two rides was definitely enough for me though!

By this point, we were both getting a little hungry since we had rushed out of the hotel so quickly that we didn’t even take time to eat any breakfast. It was too early for the restaurants to be open though, so we decided to browse through some of the stores. I went in Cinema Storage and found a cute key chain for my purse and a little Mickey for my desk at work.

When we got out of the store, the street performers were out, so we had to stop and watch!

This was something that we normally never took the time to do, but we had stopped to watch for “a few minutes” on our previous trip and got sucked in for a good half hour! The actors are so funny and the skits are really entertaining. We laughed the whole time!

Finally, it was nearing 11:00 which meant that the restaurants were opening up! Despite the terrible reviews that it gets, we had gotten fairly lucky with the Commissary in the past and decided to go there again.

Would you believe that we actually sat there and waited for it to open?! I never thought we would have waited to eat at the Commissary! Clearly, we were very hungry!

We both got the chicken blue sandwich, which was had our previous time at the Commissary and thought was ok, but this time it was king of gross. Bland and dry!

I think now that the Commissary has lived up to its hype for us, we’ll try to find a different CS place for lunch next time.

After lunch, we decided to grab a few FPs for Star Tours…

And then we headed over to The Voyage of the Little Mermaid!

I hadn’t seen this show since I was a little kid, and Miguel had never seen it at all. We ended up having to wait about 20 minutes for the show, but it was nice to be off of our feet in the nice, cool theatre once the show finally started. It was cute, but I must admit that I remember it being much more impressive when I was younger.

We thought it would be a good time to finally use our TSM FPs, so we headed back over to Pixar Place.

I noticed that oddly enough, the standby line was not outside of the building like it normally was, and we soon found out that the ride was temporarily down. We were a little disappointed that we would have to wait for TSM, but we had other things to do, so we just figured we would come back later. I wanted to see the Lights Motors Action show, but we still had a few minutes before the show time and it was almost time for yet another FP, so I decided to wait by TSM while Miguel went for the passes.

While I sat there, I witnessed the most terrifying thing that I have ever seen at Disney…
