Hello my beloved DVCers... It's with a heavy heart that I announce we have sold our membership and are officially no longer part of DVC. It was a hard to decision to make, but the time was right in our lives. We will still be visiting Walt Disney World, just in a different way and probably not as often.

Sorry to hear this. Our DS started college last year...we decided keeping DVC was the only way we could afford to keep having any vacations at all for the duration. But we do need to scale back next year... Hopefully you'll be back one day...

I hear you. We are down to just one contract of 210 OKW points now that we live so close to WDW half the year. I can see us selling off that last one. Ten years ago we had about 600 points spread between VWL and OKW.

We have been close to pulling the plug too. We have been renting out our points instead of selling.

I'm presuming you've already considered the additional costs in selling and rebutting along with keeping it and just renting. Good luck and stick around esp since you plan to buy back in down the road.

I owned at VWL and BCV...."kids" didn't like VWL and I thought I had too many points....so I sold VWL....then along came the grandkids...now I'm adding on to BCV...the circle of life....

We made out really well with the sale. We are thinking about scooping up some small contracts down the road one at a time. It's hard to say though, with my parents retiring to Orlando and my brother already living there perhaps we too will be Florida residents someday.
