Just over about 5 weeks ago, I put in an offer to a seller for an OKW contract. We passed ROFR within about 2 weeks of it being sent to Disney and I was just waiting on the closing contracts to come. We got them last night, I wired the money to the closing company, signed the contracts and dropped them off in a UPS drop box. So now I have the hardest part...

waiting on being put in the system at DVC :teeth:

I have to admit I am not a patient person but resale is the way we wanted to go, so I admit this is the longest 5 weeks of my life ;) I do have a DL trip planned and I am kind of really hoping to be able to use all my conditioned points for that trip instead of using them in December at a WDW hotel, but as time goes on I get more and more nevous/anxious/giddy about that.

So to make my endless babble have a point ;) How long do you all think I should wait before I start checking with DVC? Our official closing date is the 25th :bounce:

We were already in the system, so it may be different for you. We sent the check on April 26th, and were able to make a reservation with those points on May 5th.

There is no easy way to wait, best wishes.

PS. What is a conditioned point...one that has been banked?

Thanks Bobbi... I suppose after the closing date I will just call and see if I am in :)

I typed that out wrong... I was thinking work terms for DVC but they are reserved points... ones I can only use at non-DVC and not the concierge collection. That's fine with me since I am flexible in my stays, but I would love to have it all booked now :teeth:

I'm passing through Columbus tonight, on my way to Cape May NJ, one of our non-DVC vacation destinations.

Bobbi, I hope you have a safe trip to NJ and miss all the storms that were supposed to pass through here today :)

Your right... waiting is the hard part! ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) I would give it a couple of days after you close before you start calling....

Keep us posted!

We were told that once the paperwork was submitted to Disney it would take approx. 5 business days to get into the system. I believe for us it was just about that. Good luck!!!!
