Now this is a real topic not like those political topics on Dis now :

How many bags of candy do you buy for Halloween that actually go to the trick a treaters and not yourself?

1,2 or 3?

We buy for 300 or so kids and so far ALL of it is still sealed up!! That doesn't stop me from sneaking in the kids bags in the days after Halloween.

Poll asks how many we keep for ourselves but your thread says how many for the Trick or Treaters, I think

I buy 1 bag of Almond Joys for DH - they only go into the give away bowl if he is rendered unconscious or we run out of the other stuff and there is a cute toddler at the door.

I buy 2 large bags of the mini candy bars: Snickers, Milky way and whatever else gets thrown in, 1 large bag of Tootsie Roll pops - I pick several of the cherry flavor out and set aside for me - they never go back into the give away bowl, ever! As a back up - 1 large bag of Smarties or something equally cheap.

I've bought about 10 bags, only 2 are still around for the trick or treaters.

Lets see I've bought 4 bags so far. None are left. I'm going shopping again tonight (dh has been working crazy hours) at midnight. Our Trick or Treating is tomorrow night. Wonder if they'll last 18 hours in my house?
