As I said about another thread about an inappropriate cheer chant I really don't get it these outfits where designed to highlight none existant "curves" on these girls they managed to make them look tarty and what sort of message does it send to them that dancing sexy is great so when they start acting out sexy too early parents complain and blame the media, well if you let an 8 year old dance like that don't blame the media for what you have done.

it's like everyone is trying to out do or one up each other with how "risque" they can be. The Glee GQ cover and photos, Taylor Momsen, Miley Cyrus.... who will do what next... even Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Lindsay Lohan. It's all about who will be talked about until the next celebrity does something shocking

Risque is for adults. Parents should protect their minors from decisions that they may regret later. It's not about role models. I can tell my children why I don't approve of that choice. I just feel sad for the girls. Young boys are not put in this position. I think it can cause a shorter career as well. They will do very well at first and then be just like every other girl who bares it.

They were all such amazing dancers, its a shame they wore those outfits taking away from their talent.

Taylor plays "Jenny" on GOSSIP GIRL. She has also started a side career as a rock musician. I did not know she was that young. She was pretty at first but I think she looks weird now.

I saw the GQ mag at the bookshop today. Lea who plays "Rachel" is 23, I think. And Dianna who plays "Quinn" is 24. I guess the point is that they are both still young-looking enough to play "teenage" characters, and thus young people look up to them. I'm sure Lea and Dianna are nothing like their characters in real life. I didn't like what I saw in the article all that much.

I find Lady Gaga too weird for my taste.

As for Katy , who will be 26 on Monday, she has always had this "sweet and spicy" persona ever since I Kissed a Girl became a hit. As much as I find her to be both pretty and talented, I was embarrassed by the album cover for Teenage Dream, as well as the music video for California Gurls. I was also a little perturbed by a picture of her in Rolling Stone a couple of months ago. I respect Katy's motives for presenting herself these ways, but I wish she could be more sweet than spicy once in a while. Her new song Firework is very nice. The music video for that song will be coming out next week, and I think you'll love it.
