~And It All Started With a Wish...and a Quarter and a Fountain~TR link, page 32!

Wow, those pictures and video of Seth are SOOO adorable!!! My favorite is the Terminator picture :rotfl: Margot is too cute too with her bathing suit over her clothes

Congrats on getting VWL! Enjoy your weekend in Savannah, too :thumbsup2

I was just in Savannah not too long ago. I was born there and lived there until I was 10. It's a beautiful city! It was fun going back and seeing the places I remember from when I was a kid! Have a great trip!

hey Dawn

congrats on getting the resort. Love the photos especially the fauxhawk and the terminator and video of Seth - he has grown so much and his laugh is precious and so catching - you have to laugh along with him. Just gorgeous.

Enjoy Savannah - I went their last year first time ever on my big USA trip and loved it.

Take care

What is precious about this is that all of you are smiling and laughing and totally entranced in this one little moment. Nothing in the outside world is nearly as important as the two of you enjoying that little boy for that time. There are so many kids at my school who probably never got that attention when they were babies, nor do they now, and it shows. When we are sitting around playing silly games with the girls or when I see things like this with you guys, it hits home what a world of difference it makes in the lives of the children. It just seems so natural to all of us to have these sweet times with our little ones, yet so many kids miss out on something so simple and so enriching. Thanks for sharing that.

Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks, Memom! You always have way of taking a simple situation and making it beautiful. :)

Thanks to all of you for your good luck with getting the VWL....it worked! And of course thanks for your sweet comments about Seth. I don't expect them from you but I will certainly take them. :goodvibes

I thought I'd go ahead and start on the mini TR of our trip to Savannah.

So Mom and Carl (my stepdad) got into town on Thursday evening around 5:00. While they were on their way to my office Ray was picking Seth up from school and then we all met up there, got dinner to go from Zaxby's, then hit the hay pretty early. On Friday morning we hit the road as soon as I was done feeding Seth his oatmeal. Here I come, Savannah!!!

Not too long down the road and I saw this....

:rotfl:

We stopped at Steak and Shake near Macon for lunch. Seth got a job while we were there....

Funny thing....we actually saw the nurse from his school eating there! She was on the way to Brunswick with some girlfriends. Small world.

We got to Savannah and our condo around 2:00, I think. It was really nice! The only complaint I had was the parking. Very hard to find a spot and my stepdad ended up getting a ticket b/c he parked in a sweep zone (it was only $12). Oh, and we were on the 3rd floor but not a huge deal after we got unloaded!

Our view. And that window was really low to the floor and you could open it all the way and step out onto the balcony.

As soon as we got settled in and I gave Seth a bottle, we bundled up and headed for River Street. It wasn't too cold but the wind made it feel way colder than it was, especially when we got down on the water!

I love the old, big trees and Spanish moss!

We just strolled along River Street and let Mom and Carl just go into shops they wanted to see. We've been in pretty much all of them so we just let them do their thing.

In one of the many candy stores we visited.....

Ray's favorite treat in Savannah....pralines! He practically attacked the free sample guy.

We made a pit stop at Wet Willie's, one of our favorite places to get a yummy adult beverage. All their drinks are frozen and are made with pure grain alcohol....dangerous but sooooo good! We both got a mojito-flavored slushie. It was good but would've been better had it been a little warmer outside!

Seth all cozied up and sleeping in his stroller. He LOVED that stroller!!!!! One of the best things we've bought since he's been born. We're definitely taking it to Disney!

After it started getting darker we went back up to Bay Street and had dinner at Outback Steakhouse, then called it a night.

Just before bedtime.....playin' with Granny and Papa!

That was our Friday in Savannah. Next update will be Saturday, which includes Seth's first time seeing the ocean and food at PAULA DEEN'S!!! :woohoo:

I'm officially joining in. I remember reading your intro when you started and I swear I suscribed then, but I guess I didn't:confused3

Seth is so adorable. I love the little Mohawk. He reminds me of the baby from the Incredible movie, Jack Jack?

The condo looks lovely and the pictures from Savannah are beautiful. I have never been there and would most likely attack the Praline sample guy too. They sound good!

Oh, and congrats on getting VWL. We are staying there for a few days in May. DH and I have been talking about adding on to our family soon so I will be on the lookout for that fountain:thumbsup2

Your little Seth will be a seasoned travelor in no time.

He is so adorable sleeping in his car seat and Gramma too....

It was fun looking at the pics of your family enjoying Savannah!

I can remember reading about when you and Ray went there and now you are there with Seth..:)

You can find beauty in anything, even a drain hole.

I love the Outback, they got rid of ours...I miss the Bloom'in Onion.

Steak n Shake has become a new fav for us when we go down South.

Yummm...can't wait to hear what you ate at Paula Deen's. :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your trip. I want to get over there one of these days.
Looks a little cool, but still much fun. I know your mom loved being with Seth. :lovestruc

I'm like Ray - I'm all about the nuts. I miss swinging by the kiosk in Opry Mills to have a sample and take in that wonderful aroma.

Looking forward to Paula Deen pictures. I picked up one of her desserts in the Walmart bakery section, but it was not impressive at all. I got a chocolate bundt cake, and it was dry and very Walmart bakeryish - nothing special at all. I'll probably give one more thing a try, and if that's no good, I'll stop and just hope that Paula's stuff is really, truly better than that when it doesn't come from Walmart. ;)

Oh my, Seth is just positively adorable! What a cutie patootie. Can't wait to hear what you thought about Paula Deen's restaurant!

Great update! Ya know, as many times as I have been in Savannah, I have never eaten at Paula Deen's and my mom loves her! We did eat at Uncle Bubbas (her brother's place) for our rehearsal dinner in June, but that's nothing like her place.

Savannah is so beautiful. I'd love to visit down there one day. Can't wait to hear about your meal at Paula Deen's!

I just found your report and am joining in.

Seth is adorable! The mohawk for school was too cute.

Congrats on VWL. We :love::love: (did I mention we love) the WL. You will have such a nice stay there.

Love the pictures of Savannah. We had talked about going back over Spring Break as it is my 2nd favorite place to visit (Disney being my first) but decided against it. I love Paula Deens so I can't wait to read about your dinner there. Where did you rent the condo? It looks nice. We have always stayed in a hotel but that would be nice the next time.

Erika

Savannah looks like such a fun, cute little city to visit! I'm glad yall had a nice time on your first day there :goodvibes
