And for the first time in FOREVER...Back to WDW October 2014

Joining in. We will be there Oct 18-25. We are staying at POR RR. It will be my daughters 6 & 9 and DH first time to Disney and soo excited. We have similar plans. We are doing Epcot on Monday and MNSSHP on Tuesday. Your plans look awesome and your AOA Nemo room looks amazing, my kids would love that. Counting down the days till ADR :hourglass.

We WOULD make great travel buddies! LOL!

Um wow! How did I miss this comment to me!?!?!? I dont know but I have opinions on ALL THIS, lol, so here I go!! :thumbsup2

It's so good to hear good reviews of so many of my dining choices. I feel like I need to consult the others in my group since I'm making so many of our dining choices alone! No one else is into planning like me so it's my way or the highway!!:rotfl:

Totally agree!! My first trip last year was the EXACT same, no one helped me, thank goodness for the Dis and my obsession with TR's because we ended up at fantastic places and you would have thought we were Disney pros!

Did you go to Pizza Planet on your last trip? The boys love Toy Story so that was on my must do but I've heard the food isn't great and the inside isn't even super TS-themed. So I think we may just swing by to visit instead and let the boys play a few games.

Ugh... yes. This was literally the ONLY meal we were downright disappointed in. Food was just ok, edible but nothing better than a regular theme park or movie theater food. (Maybe aside from the cupcakes) and yes, the decor sucks. Just throwing up some cutouts on the ceiling does NOT cut it!! Annnd on top of all that the one thing I thought FOR SURE they would have is a crane machine game to when little aliens, nope. B U M M E R!!

See...nothing too impressive, cupcakes aside :)

I really want do to BOG for lunch but I'm worried it will be too "adventurous" for some in our group. My dad is a pretty simple eater but it looks like they have a few sandwiches that will be safe for him!

This is our dilemma a LOT! This is exactly why we didnt do BOG for dinner last time, we like simple food, but the sandwiches were great. You can get the sauce on the side and its normal. So I think your dad would do good! Bonus, free refills at BOG! We sat in the west wing, and we were right by the refill station, score! Highly reccomend as everyone in our party was totally impressed by this lunch and thought was yummy!

Chicken sandwich

Roast beef

Sorry they werent too clear, its very dark in the West Wing and I was hungry! :lmao:

Did you ever buy a separate meal for your youngest daughter? My 2-year old is a big eater so I think we may have to get him a meal if the portions aren't big enough. Plus my youngest son (1.5) will be plate sharing too. I think I will bring some sides like pretzels and applesauce to help supplement and make the meals go further.

Not too often, the sit down meals were large and often the waitress would be nice and bring Maddie a bowl of Mac n Cheese (they seem to have that everywhere) and they often didnt even charge me for it!! Then at the QS meals they are all just QS credits, not childs and adults, so we would use Olivia credit and get a third adult meal and split it between them! This time I expect Maddie will be eating more than Olivia! I will most likely go the same route in ordering lots of Mac n Cheese!!! Lol..

I've spent so much time planning our meals that I feel like the rides/attractions have taken a back seat! Now to start making our daily plans!

Me too!! I was literally just thinking that a couple days ago!!! We have a Disney ESP thing going on... lol, I finally sat down and decided what I think we will do as far as FP+, only to find out they may be changing the system soon, so its possible we will have to switch things around again... lol..

Side note, I ended up putting Crystal Palace back in! I decided somehow we will just take a later flight, even if it means a layover and we will go to eat and visit MK a short while, so I added it back in! LoL!!

We'll be there all day saturday =) We're going to stay till close then either go to an offsite hotel, or book a room only res at a different wdw hotel (part of me wants to splurge on a little mermaid room) then head home on sunday morning. :cool1: I cant bring myself to only do a 1/2 day since we aren't doing the party.

Am I the only one going crazy waiting for discounts? :rolleyes1 I found out yesterday that the payment we will beable to make next month will pay us off if FD comes out, and now Im even more anxious waiting lol

I'm jealous! I'm going to try to drag the morning on for us since we're only driving a few hours before stopping for the night. Why not if we have tickets for the whole day. Or maybe I could talk everyone into leaving early Sunday morning instead....:rotfl2:

Yes with the discounts!! Come on already! I know it usually doesn't come out until May or early summer but now I've been reading that some people are predicting that there may not be FD this fall. What?? I need to know!

Yay! I love having similar plans so I can compare with someone! I'm really excited about MNSSHP! Have you thought of any costumes yet? I'm trying to come up with a family one or at least one for all 3 boys!

POR looks amazing! I soooo want to stay there next time around! I've thought about switching but my oldest is now super excited for a Finding Nemo room!

Less than 20 days until ADRs here! :cool1:

You are my trip planning big sister! I love that our kids are the same basic ages so you can tell me what worked last time!!:thumbsup2

So glad we ditched Pizza Planet! I think we'll sneak in for the kids to play in the AC maybe but skip eating there. And I think we'll be ok for BOG especially for lunch! Even though the boys could care LESS about Beauty and the Beast I want to eat there!!

I'm working on my daily plans now. My mom is actually getting into planning now (she just got back from a big trip to Ireland so I think she is switching into Disney mode) so I have someone to work with!

And so excited again that your got all your ADRs! Which one did you make first...the most difficult to get or do you have to go in day order of your trip?

:)

Yay for moms help! It's more fun when you have someone excited too!

I booked BOG first then all the ADR that were early before park opening then the rest in order.

I'm still here! Still planning and readings lots of TRs. I'm holding off on making more solid daily plans (as in our to dos and FP+ for each park) for a few reasons

1. I want to wait until I get ADRs done so we can plan around those in case we have any trick times!

2. I want to wait until things settle out with the new changes to FP+

3. I want to wait until my oldest is "officially" measured at his 4-year check up next week so see that he makes that magical 40" mark for sure!

4. I've just been so busy! We have lots of birthdays, Easter, daily life that has been taking up my free time!

But soon I'll be back to heavy duty planning! Less than 3 weeks until ADR day!

Right now I am thinking the girls are gonna do Pirates League pirate: hopefully around 3:00 Tuesday and they can be Pirates...which they are super into and my DH is literally building this massive Pirate ship treehouse in our yard right now.

So Sorry for the massive image. I already bought their costumes for that. But if we decide to do a family costume my youngest loves Alice in Wonderland and wants to be Alice so we may go that route also. We love Halloween already so very excited.

Do your boys have a favorite movie they all like that you could use characters from. I know you said they liked cars or any of the marvel super heroes, you could do the whole marvel super hero family. Guardians of the Galaxy could be fun and it comes out in August or Captain America or Thor.

wow!!! how cool! I was thinking of Pirates League since it would be easy on my part! is there a minimum age? My oldest is a little freaked out by face painting. I made the mistake of mentioning that as part of the Pirates League one time and now he is refusing but maybe if I promise up and down no face paint he will do it!

They love Super Heroes of course so that would be easy! Also Toy Story, Peter Pan, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates! I'll have to come up with a trio for them at least!

Maybe if you showed him a video. Here is a pretty good one.http://youtu.be/1w3HDPmpmX8 They do have a Jake and the Neverland Pirates look. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/pirates-league/ No minimum or maximum ;)age.

Peter Pan would be fun if they were the Lost Boys or Cap'N hook, Peter Pan, and the crocodile. If you had a stroller you could turn it into the crocodile with a clock hanging from it...oh you could really have some fun with it. How about the green army guys from toy story. I'm excited to hear/see what you guys come up with.

We'll have to compare ADR times for Chef Mickey's! Maybe we can manage a quick hi somewhere in there!

Indeed! Unless we end up at Ohana that night. I almost forgot we might have to switch chef mickeys and ohana. All depends on which times are available when :) either way I bet we may run into eachother at aoa at some point, I have a feeling we'll be over there a few times. I want to try breakfast and dinner over there.

ADR Day!!!

Got all of our times! :cool1:

Sunday 10/19 Chef Mickey's 7:35 PM

Monday 10/20 Biergarten 6:05 PM

Thursday 10/21 Tusker House 8:05 AM Hoop Dee Do 8:30 PM

Friday 10/22 Hollywood & Vine 8:00 AM 50s Prime Time 5:15 PM

Just for fun I checked out BOG for dinner and no reservations available!! Wow! I'm still hoping to get a FP+ for lunch on Tuesday 10/21. Also, just for fun I tried the BOG FP+ reservation site with our Memory Maker Reservation # (crazy but it's super early and I'm on a Disney high!) and it let me get all the way until selecting a time! I know I won't be able to book that until 60 days before but I thought it was cool that the Memory Maker # worked!

So now serious planning can commence! And now the countdown to FP+ day and on the lookout for free dining!

Awe non of our meals match up :( But yay you got everything you wanted!
I had a BOG for saturday the 25th for 9:15 but canceled it, maybe its still there? Unless its too late in the day for you. That why we canceled our, way too late in the day

None of my meals are the same either. For sone reason I'm not interested in eating at BOG except to see the beast.

Oh man! Too bad our meals won't match up at all! I am thinking of doing BOG for a QS lunch but I bet that dinner reservation was snapped up quick! It's crazy how quick those things are booked up!

Boo for no common meal times! And I know my boys don't really care about BOG but I really want to see the castle! And the food sounds yummy! Mommy needs some fun too!:yay:
