I appologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but I am new

Anyway me and my boyfriend are going to California in September for my 21st birthday, and we are wanting to go to Universal Studios one of these days. My only problem is that all the tours that do go have quite an early departure time and we are wanting to stay the whole day / night. I have looked into renting a car however with us being young it cost a lot more than if we were 25+ and I don't know if we can rent one because he does not have his full liscense (We live in B.C., if anyone is familiar with this, he has his N) I was thinking public transportation however I don't know how safe I would feel taking it being my first time and all.

It is so frustrating trying to plan a trip and not knowing how to get anywhere! So if anyone has any suggestions on transportation from Anaheim to Universal that would be great! I know taxi's are very expensive however does anyone know a quote for price?

Thank-you!!

There are a couple of companies that will pick you up at the hotel and take you there. It is about 30 miles, drive time varies with the traffic. Do a USH search and read some of the responses, this will get you strated. Good luck.

I would plan (figure) more like an hour from Anaheim to Universal-especially in times of high traffic-weekdays a.m. and p.m. and anytime there's an accident. LA traffic is horrible, and so is OC anytime during "Rush" hour.

Hi Mystiki,
when we are staying in Anaheim, we like to go to Universal as well and in the past have used Staline and Coach USA but like you say, they have early returns (around 6pm). We would like to stay longer and I've thought about a taxi when we go this year, but have no idea where to start looking to get a quote for a return trip to USH.
I don't drive so hiring a car is no good to us at all!!

Renting cars in LA is so expensive compared to BC. Im also from BC and was looking at that option, its almost twice as much per day in LA as it is here. I didnt want to go to universal, i was thinking San Diego but i just decided on taking the train after evaluating options. As for universal, i think you're stuck either paying lots or taking the bus, although when i went to universal i couldnt wait to leave and I hated their 'downtown' area as it was run down and dull.

As for the N License, im sure he'll be fine as I doubt they'll be able to differentiate between that and a regular license.

If I may add to the question of "Anaheim to Universal", is there a Company that will transport 34 people from the Hilton in Anaheim to Universal on a Sunday from noon till closing? Thanks!!! Right now we are renting vans which may be more expensive then just getting a charter bus.
