Anaheim Plaza - what is is like?

Thanks to everyone for their input and photos.

I gotta say, I have reconsidered staying at the Anaheim Plaza. And spent quite a bit time looking for a better deal. Well, I found one on Orbitz this afternoon.

We are now booked at The Carousel. It was only $4 a night more, and the pictures look quite a bit nicer and it is closer to the crosswalk.

I know each hotel/motel has positive and negative feedback...but I got to say my gut was telling me that the Anaheim Plaza isn't for us this trip.

I really do appreciate the time and opinions! You all are great. :goodvibes

Bluedoll, Orbitz gave us 3 nights at the Carousel for 312.00 with tax and everything (well minus parking of $4.00 a day). I figure it is worth it to have a small breakfast everyday and the rooms look nicer. The pool is definitely not as nice, but we are there such a short time, we probably won't swim (maybe ds12?) The only bummer thing with Orbitz is that you have to prepay. But, I feel much better about this choice.

Thanks again for posting your photos, I really do appreciate it.

I LOVE the Carousel. It's one of my favorites. I think you'll be much happier here. However, be advised, they charge $5 per day for parking and $2 'resort' fee. Oh, and the rooms are a little smaller than Anaheim Plaza, but they are so much better furnished. I like the rooms across the parking lot, above the Quiznos. I think they are slightly bigger. Sorry, I can't remember room numbers otherwise I'd tell you what to ask for. There's no elevator for these, but its only 1 flight of stairs.

The breakfast room gets crowded, but it's so cool to start your day overlooking the resort. I think their breakfast is a litte better than some. In addition to the usual danish, juice and coffee, there's muffins, and you can make toast with jelly and instant oatmeal (there's no milk to add, but I just used coffee creamer). And then we always grab some fresh fruit to take into the parks with us.

Personally, I'd rather pay for a cheaper room (and cheaper parking/no resort fee) and use that extra cash to just go eat breakfast in the parks instead of eating oatmeal with coffee creamer.

But to each his own.

The breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace was decently priced - $6.50 or so for eggs, muffin, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and a beverage (we'd get coffee or hot chocolate.)
