Does anyone know if the Anaheim Marriott is walking distance to DL? It says it is 2 1/2 block away to the main gate and I was wondering if it was possible to walk and how long it would take to walk. TIA
(Can you tell I am a DL newbie!!!!)

Edited: I had the wrong hotel, we are booked at the Anaheim Marriott and it looks like they offer a shuttle to DL for $3/pp per day.

It is a Loooooonnnngggg 2 1/2 blocks. I wouldn't want to walk it. Probably 15 to 20 mins to get to the turnstiles. However You can use the ART buses to get to DL. We used ART in 2003 and they came every 20-30 mins or so. i think it is $12 for a 5 day pass and children under 10 are free.

I wouldn't and didn't walk it. ART is the way to go.

Last trip we stayed at the Holiday Inn on Walnut, which said that it was about 1-1/2 blocks from the park entrance. OMG, NOT. Never trust those printups that say 1-1/2 or 2-1/2 blocks. They are LONG blocks and at the end of the day or night, especially if you have kids, not fun to walk back. The ART passes are like 3.00 for the entire day and well worth it.

Thanks everyone. Where do I pick up the ART at, outside the hotel and then outside DL? Where do I buy the passes at?

we picked it up right out front the hotel. If you stay at the Hilton you cross the street to the Marriott ...
I think you are talking about the Marriott by the convention center correct?
Take the transit... it is a long walk.

You can walk over if you go between the Hilton and the convention center, cross Katella and catch the parking shuttle. We only did this in the morning, then took the ART at night.

We stayed at the Hilton across from the Mariott. Took us 25 minutes to walk somewhat leisurely to and from the park. We did that one day...we took the ART the rest of the trip. LOL

The best part of staying at those two hotels is that if you're at the Hilton and the Mariott ART comes along, you can run across the street and catch that one...and vise versa. Very convenient...
