Anaheim Maingate Inn, Extended Stay America (Conv Center)- thoughts on both?

Wherever you are always stay away from extended stays chains , they are horrible. I used to work in the hotel business and it was a running joke that we would rather put our top tier guests at a Motel 6. I've not heard great things for this one either.

Is there a budget you're trying to stick to , and what is considered walking distance to your family ? Size of room needed/party size ?

Thank you!!! I'd like to keep it at around $120 a night and walk-able as not to have to pay for parking twice and not have to take ART. We have options in Cypress (5 miles away) and Seal Beach (10 miles away) at Hampton Inns but because we will be in the parks until closing for Mickey's Halloween Party and then turn around and rope drop the next day, I would like to avoid the 15-25 minute drive.

There are 4 of us and we can walk .75-a full mile easily.

What are your dates , Trooicana and Camelot Inn are sometimes close to that with AAA or on Cheaptickets who also has an 18% off extra code - BIRTHDAYCAKE as well that can help.

I can recommend Camelot Inn and suites , friend stayed Tropicana recently , Grand Legacy sometimes has good prices mid week, Super 8 Katella , Ramada Plaza hotel is good too.

Rates are $138 a night; with taxes it came to $484.38.

Yeah not bad really for the season and walkable with free parking and wifi, however I understand wanting to stick to a budget. What we've discovered is that it's just not worth driving at all and paying slightly more to walk to/from midday if needed negates any other options , even shuttles.

Our old "budget" super 8 Katella is rarely under $110 a night now which is why we've moved closer. We do use apps like hotel tonight BUT it only guarantees 2 adults so for a family not the best choice.

We just plan things out better at home ( budget wise) so we can stay closer and enjoy our time more without the hassle.
Halloween time is huge now at DL and the rates will reflect it likely too.

I am okay going a little over. It'll cost $158 more than the Cypress Hotel and that comes with free breakfast. But parking at DL is $18 a day so subtract $39 and it saves about $120.
