Anabella Walking Distance

We have a freind who works at the Anabella. He can get us a good rate, but I was wondering the walking distance into the parks? Has anybody stayed there and walked in? How does the walk compare to HoJo? Anybody have opinions on this hotel? Looking for any info you might have. Thanks!

I am sure you must have seen this map. It is in the sticky's. I have heard it is about 5/8 of a mile and a pretty good walk for some. Hope others chime in.

Anabella: 3,578' (closest) - 4,526' (farthest)

HoJo: 2,648' (closest) - 3,063' (farthest)

You basically walk from the hotel to the crossing of Katella. Cross over (long crossing, short light if you're not hustling...I strongly recommend getting a sleepy or dawdling kid in arms or in a stroller), then you walk up the sidewalk surrounded by palm trees and lovely flowers and foliage. Pass by PPH and then it's just like you're walking from PPH, which means you want to enter GCH and go that way. From PPH going that way it's approximately .44 miles.

The extra bit can feel really really long, but Anabella is really nice IMO. Watch out for the parking fee!

My sister stayed there with a little one, and while she loved the hotel....she said that it was too far for her taste. She felt like it was too long of a walk to go back for naps. But again...she said it was a very nice place.

It was a convenient location when you were able to walk down to the convention centre crossing, go through the car park and grab the tram. Obviously that's no longer an option. The walk down past the PPH and GCH isn't bad and is an easy stroll, but then you're still a little distance to the entrance. It is a ncie hotel though, our favourite in the past.
