Hello all,
My family is visiting DLR for the first time and have booked similar suites at both the Anabella Hotel (concierge premiere) and the Hyatt Place (kids suite) Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) they'd be willing to share? I know the Hyatt Place is a bit farther away but otherwise I'm stuck on choices. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you-

I'd pick the Hyatt. Much newer property and now that you can't cut through the Grand Hotel I think the Hyatt is closr too

I adore Anabella and would stay there always if the price was right. Last two times we stand club level we could use our breakfast vouchers on anything in the same price range (or pay the balance). BEST huevos rancheros ever.... IMO. :)

Yes it's sad that the Grand is now being silly with their security (seriously folks, get with it) and you go past PPH and around to the start of DTD from DLH, but oh well. It's all a gorgeous walk.

I have never stayed at either, but just knowing that the Annabella is set to close permanently in mid-August (as reported by the Orange County Register), I would choose to try out the Hyatt Place if these were my choices.
Good point.

It's good news that Wincome is proceeding with the new 4-star hotel, even with the ongoing fight with the housekeeping union. I hope the new Disney hotel starts construction soon.

My wife is in the DL area on business every six to eight weeks. She always stays at Hyatt Place, she loves it:hyper2:.

No it isn't. It makes me sick that they are tearing down something so awesome for something so bland and giant. We're already complaining about crowds...

Stayed Hyatt Place for a few nights a couple years ago. Too far to walk IMHO, Toy Story lot is ok walk. Uber is fastest option! Breakfast is ok but crowded. Pool and hot tub! When we were there they were hosting lots of tour groups which was annoying because they would take ENTIRE loaves of bread back to their rooms for later in the day and items that ran out were not promptly replaced (saw that bread situation multiple times; admittedly those taking all the bread were part of a couple foreign tour groups who might not have known that was not ok behavior). We also had bad noise problems. The gaps under the door to the next room (meant for connecting rooms) were so big we could clearly hear the conversation in the room next door. And it was NOT a PG type conversation! (Thankfully no one in my group was under 16 then!) And then they partied at night. We called security on night 1 and they quieted down enough to for us to sleep, had to call on night 2 and they quieted down a bit, had to call on night 3 and they barely quieted down after security knocked and another call to the front desk that night didn't help. Mainly I think the problem was the same person who served them drinks in the lobby bar was responsible for dispatching security to quiet them down... Now, fwiw I LOVE the Hyatt Place brand- I just didn't care much for Anaheim HP (but I've only had one experience of a few nights). Last time I was down there they were building a Hyatt House if you're looking for more options that might be one for you to check, idk if they have a kids suite type room.
