Hi there,

I know that this thread does not pertain directly to Disney Restaurants, however, I hope that the moderators will allow me to post it here! It is a genuine "restaurant-interest" question. :cool1:

So... here it is: I am wondering if anyone can recommend the CLOSEST Waffle House to Disney. I am staying at OKW and using the Magical Express so won't have my own transportation. However, I AM from Canada and getting to a Waffle House  is not easy!

Any advice, directions and recommendations would be very much appreciated! :wizard:

When you leave property go out via Hotel Plaza Blvd. When you get to Crossroads turn right, there is a Waffle House right before you get to I-4 on your left.

Smothered Covered and Chunked!

I like a challenge, so I looked this up with a variety of web searches:
The waffle house listed above is at: 12801 State Road 535...
Since you said you have no transportation, you'd have to walk? cab? etc...

IF you'd like to walk!!! (ouch), take Disney transport to Downtown disney - It will be a little over a 1 mile to walk from there.... Better response would be a short cab ride if its that important to you!!

Have fun!

What do you mean "if it's that important to you"? LOL

If you have to ask that question you obviously have never been to a Waffle House! (Just kidding)

Recently a friend came to Orlando, and she wanted to eat at one of the "famous" Waffle Houses. I almost crawled under the counter when she asked the waitress "What flavored coffee do you serve"?

Uhhhh Regular and Decaff?

It's the South and you can't go more than a mile without seeing a Waffle House. A lot of interstate interchanges have two of them because heaven forbid you would have to go out of your way to get there. It's such a great American contribution to the world of food (or whatever passes for it at Waffle House).

Ok, we've noticed Waffle Houses and Huddle Houses. Are they basically the same type of restaurant? Which one is better?

Same type of restaurant, basically. Waffle House has a better breakfast, Huddle House has a more comprehensive Dinner menu.

Don't forget the best part of eating at Waffle House while at Disney - they are all smoke-free in Florida!
