An Ohana Reunion...The Waterless Cruise...

Hey Debi how did you make out with the Illuminations dinner?

I can't get Kevin nailed down(working 12 hr days)! I'll mention it to him again tonight but I'm thinking we'll probably bow out.

With the drop in airfare and my missing WDW alot....I'm thinking of coming out in August to surprise Kallie for her 11th bday (8/19). Just a mom/daughter trip before middle school starts. I'll be watching the thread, if thats ok and will let you know when I make the plunge :)

:cool1:Yeah, more pirates!! That sounds like a great B-Day present...Hope you are able to make it.

Sorry I have not been following along here, but the 4 of us would love to do Ohana dinner. That include 3 adults 1 kid, CC#993999388839 exp 8/10, youngest SS#500-95-4422, anything else you need?

Actually, on a serious note....

If anyone that is participating in 'Ohana has any special dietary requirements I would note that on our reservation.

I found this blog about the chef at 'Ohana and how he is the "go to" chef at WDW with special dietary needs questions. It was posted that you can call him directly at 'Ohana with your needs.http://veganindisney.wordpress.com/2009/03/03/disneys-hidden-gem-chef-tj-at-ohana/#comments

On a another note, does anyone know anything about IPO (Itinerary Planning Office)? The reason I ask is because there are posts poping up, here and there, on the restaurant board that this "office" is able to get ADR's at the 90 day mark with ease. However, the tone on the board is that people are being a bit tight-lipped about exactly what this is. I've done some searching around and can't find anything on the net and the DIS search function was taken away with the "upgrade" last week :headache:. I think with the nigtmare that is going on with the ADR System right now people are afraid to let the cat outta the bag.

The people that get ressies for concierge guests. After you send in your requests to them (I send mine at least a couple of weeks before the 1st day available to book so, they are ready to book as soon as they can) they book when bookings open and then they email you the itenerary.
They are not able to book before the bookings open for that time frame.

For those of you not on FB.... Our oldest dd & her dh are Blessing us with a grandson around Aug 17th. :goodvibes

Desiree,

If you're able to get a big enough reservation for the Prime Time Cafe, Linda, the kids, and I would love to join you guys too. We're 3 adults and 2 kids (both ages 9). If you have trouble getting the ressie to include us, then we understand too and no hard feelings. :grouphug: Let me know if you need any more info.

Congratualtions!!! You are in for a great ride. Grandkids are the reward for surviving parenthood.

Just back from two weeks up North with the girls and grandkids. Had a great time, now need a serious rest. Three and six are active ages and they kept me hopping. Went to a dance event with the 6 year old. She was the "plate" in Be Our Guest. The costume was made out of a hula hoop with a cut out for her face and then only her legs showing on the bottom. Couldn't take pictures there but did snap one of her at home after and as soon as I get this photo bucket set up will post it.

Can't wait to see everyone in August. Was able to add another night to our trip so we will be there Monday thru Thursday so that we will be able to do the water park day. Is it going to be Typhoon Lagoon or BBeach? They both have the lazy river which is just my speed but I do like the swells at Typhoon Lagoon.

The local ABC news here in Orlando just reported that DCL is planning to move the Wonder to LA in 2011. They reported that the port of LA still has to agree to the move but I don't think that will be a problem. OK, guess we can look forward to another repo in 2011.

Love to do Prime Time. Sign us up. See previous post for info :rotfl2:

Gotcha!

I have you down....should be fine.

Sorry I haven't been posting on here! I can't believe how fast it is coming. We booked our airfare but I still have to get our car and a hotel in Savannah for the 14th.

I have been busy trying to homeschool Tori and get my certifications and get my website up....hope everyone is doing well!

I think its going to be a more "adult" trip as the lease in LA begins January 1 and the Wonder is scheduled for a December 23 (Roger's Birthday) 7 night Western and a December 30 Eastern (the Magic is doing 10+ night cruises then). That would mean its out on cruises till January 6. So unless one of the new ships is in service early to take these cruises, the earliest any repo would leave is January 6, although I wonder if the Wonder will go to Virginia first for a dry dock and do a February repo?

It would make sense for them to put it into dry dock before relocating it. If it is like the Magic the ship -- especially the cabins -- are showing a little wear and could use a general make over. But, I don't think they will do anything until the new ship is delivered. So that could delay the move to LA. Has anyone heard anything about when they expect the first new ship to arrive in Florida?

The "experts" on some of the boards, who claim to "know people" swear its a February 2011 time frame.

I think I'll just take the "wait & see" approach. Meaning I'll wait & see what the rest of my cruise buddies are going to book & then I'll just stalk ya'll! But I tell ya....they better have a fra-eakin' bah open for us to sit at that doesn't involve dance music blasting in my ear. Not that I don't like dance music, but not when I wannna talk! :headache:

Woohoo! The more the merrier!

BTW did ya'll notice how early I'm posting? See what getting a job does to you? Wow that sun is bright! Have a fine day ya'll! :flower3:

How fun!!!

Thanks for the welcome. I should know in the next week or so if we are coming. We're trying to finalize our family vacation (among 6 families) and then I can move on to this one. Are the resorts listed on the front page correct? I'm trying to decide where to stay, and thought I'd try to keep it where others are if possible.

Gotcha!

Where are you flying out of? I usually do the non stop red eye from LAX to MCO because its so fast with no layovers/changes. Usually Delta or United, but checking out others too this time.

Just pack a rollin' coolah & practice your belly flops, Di :thumbsup2

Happy to report that we now have Plane Tickets! I was able to find the on Travelocity for $179 each and it's non-stop. We will have to drive down to Stephanie's and leave our car at her place, cuz it's about $200 cheaper to fly out of Dallas than OKCity.
