I had mentioned early on in the thread that I would be willing to make a reservation for anyone that wants to join us for dinner at 'Ohana. I will be calling on May 17th for the reservation. If we have over 30 people participating I will need to call a different number for the reservation so I would like to start getting the info together on all families that are interested .....

PLACE: 'Ohana located at The Polynesian
DATE: Tuesday - August 18th
TIME: TBA - With a large group I will take whatever time I can book, however I will TRY to coordinate the time to coincide with walking down to the beach for Wishes Fireworks veiwing
INFO REQUIRED FROM PARTICIPANTS TO MAKE RESERVATION: Number of adults ($26.99) & number of children (ages 3-9, $12.99) in your party.

There are mixed reveiws on this restaurant. I have eaten here twice - once with a small group and once with a large group and I have had good food & service both times, however the whole experience was so much more fun with the large group.

Lastly, I will be calling in at the 90 day mark at 7AM just like everyone else so there is NO GUARANTEE I will be able to secure this reservation. I would suggest that you make a reservation for that evening at a restaurant of your choice at your 90 day mark "just in case" this falls thru. I will post immediately on this thread if I was successful or not. You can always cancel it later, but we are going during free dining so everyone "in the know" will be calling at their 90+10 day mark. Ressies at ANY restaurant are going to be hard to get very quickly.

I think that's all :scratchin . Please post or PM me with your party information if you are interested.

THANKS :flower3:
You are such a sweetie for doing all this.:flower3: I wish John and I could go but nothing for poor John to eat there. I always have to make sure there is something John could eat. I hope you are going with us to water park and restaurant later on Thursday. I think Typhoon Lagoon is the best choice for water parks. :confused3 :confused3

Cheryl I understand that it may not seem worth it if John doesn't eat meat, but just an FYI, that they will go out of their way to make something special for him.

I'm copying this from a post from someone that ordered a vegetarian meal at 'Ohana & this person also ate the grilled shrimp that was brought around.

"She was brought a lovely dish of rice, vegetables and tofu in a very nice dark soy based sauce. She said it was very good.

With the nice salad, appetizers and for her the shrimp, she says she was stuffed to the gills!"

Just something to consider!

Yes, we're in for the water park and 1900 Park Fare - thanks for making the arrangements, Des.

Haven't been to a Disney Water Park since my honeymoon, but it was Typhoon Lagoon :thumbsup2

I've always ordered mac n' cheese and chicken tenders for Julia there. I think they share a kitchen with Kona :confused3

I have been trying my darndest to find some reasonable airfare...next to impossible from OKC. I did however check into going from Dallas/Ft.Worth and I was able to find it at less than $200.00 a piece, that's more than half of what it would cost from here!! Here's the favor that I need.....we would like to do what we did for the TOAL,drive to DFW area and leave our car in someone's driveway for the week that we're all together. Since I don't thaink that Coral and her family are going, I need to find somebody else that lives in the general area. I seem to remember that we have another family that lives in TX. Please let me know soon,so that I can make my plane reservations. :grouphug:

I hope you find the driveway you want. Doesn't Southwest fly from Dallas? Although its a gamble, their airfare for that week comes on line early April.

Thanks Tom. Would love to fly from here(OKC) but so far what I'm finding it's cheaper out of DFW. Not sure where SW is out of.

SW doesn't fly to Orlando from Dallas --- it has to do with some weird competing airport thing. SW flies out of Love Field, I think now they fly some out of DFW.

SW actually doesn't fly anywhere out of Dallas that is fun! LOL! EVERYTHING is a connectling flight onSW out of Dallas.

Debi, did you get my message on Facebook? I'm in Mansfield. Right off of 360.

I'll add your family, Roger :thumbsup2

With the drop in airfare and my missing WDW alot....I'm thinking of coming out in August to surprise Kallie for her 11th bday (8/19). Just a mom/daughter trip before middle school starts. I'll be watching the thread, if thats ok and will let you know when I make the plunge :)

I'm sorry but you did not give your Mother's maiden name, ETA, itinerary, sleeping arrangements, etc. You need to forward ALL information in order to participate in our little gathering! ;)

Woohoo! The more the merrier!

BTW did ya'll notice how early I'm posting? See what getting a job does to you? Wow that sun is bright! Have a fine day ya'll! :flower3:

FYI - Free dinning will be offered while we are there. The dates are Aug 16-Oct 3. Disney Visa holders can book starting today.

I know most of you are staying in DVC so you can't get it. But if there's anyone not staying DVC, you might want to look into it.

I'm still trying to get a trade into DVC, but I'm going to book a room at a value resort with dining just as a back up. Then I'm not entirely sure we'll make it. I need to find out about football tryouts in the fall. Trevoy would kill me if he missed tryouts.

How fun!!!

CONGRATS. I hadn't heard about the new job.

Thank you Monica! Yep I got a job...temp to permanent. They pretty much told me today, they'd like to keep me, but on a part-time basis. I'm working full time right now. Hmmmm...we'll see. I might move on.

Hope you can make it to WDW, but I understand about tryouts. Definitely more important...well to Trevoy anyway. ;)

How fun!!!

Hey Debi how did you make out with the Illuminations dinner?
