If you are walking far ahead of your small child and your child isn't paying attention and starts to walk into someone, don't scream and swear at the other person when they put a hand down to prevent anyone from getting hurt! Be a parent and keep track of your kids!

Sorry, had to get that out, my DH was screamed and sworn at for "shoving" a child by a mother that was walking 10 feet ahead of her little darling. DH put a hand down so he could avoid a near hit and this woman came unglued. Our whole family (all 11 of them) were behind DH and saw it happen. Just about ruined my day I was so upset after the whole thing! My DH wouldn't hurt a child, any child and this woman took rude to a whole new level. DD was in tears after it too, she didn't understand why someone was saying those things to her dad. :sad1:

Awww I'm so sorry! Some people can be completely oblivious!

Some people just dont get it :confused3

OT-when I was a little girl, my parents took me to Disneyland with my grandparents. I was just walking around taking in everything and reached up to grab my grandmas hand. :scared1: The horror when I looked up and it was someone elses grandma. I was petrified. Of course my oh so loving parents and grandparents were standing being me laughing :rotfl2:

I do hope you got to enjoy the rest of your trip. I hate mean people!!!

It has been really bad at WDW lately.

We have been playing 'tourist' at the parks the past few days - we took a few vacation days to have some fun. We had just exited the monorail at the Contemporary and were heading to the escalator. 2 girls behind me were running and shoving each other to get to the escalator first - well one of them SLAMMED right into my back just as I was stepping onto the escalator and I almost fell down the steps! The mom of the girls started screaming at ME that I was in her kids' way!!! :confused3

Sorry about your experience OP. Just today's society I guess. :sad2:

That's crazy. I always do that kind of thing. I look at it as a good deed. Would it have been better for the child to hit your DH and fall because that's what likely would have happened :confused3 . I'm sorry your DD got upset I know mine would have also.

Dont you wish you could instant replay these things for the parents. That lady was an idiot!!

Mean People Suck !!!

I'm sorry your DH got yelled at for No reason and I'm even sorrier that your poor DD cried cause someone yelled at her daddy

Parents letting little kids wander on their own is a big pet peeve of mine. Unfortunately, it happens everywhere. I don't understand it. My DS was such a handful when he was in the toddler stages that there is no way I would let him walk by himself. He still has to hold my hand sometimes because he tends to not watch where he is going and could easily run into people. Btw, he is 6.

that is sad. Also, parents should never walk in front of thier child. When I was 17 I was following my uncle in New York and I started to follow the wrong bald guy. Luckily I cought it early since the guy turned around, but I was 17 and almost lost myself in NYC.
