An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

That was a great 100 days Celebration!! I shared the random facts with my co-worker, we enjoyed them. Thank you. :goodvibes

100 days!!

:hyper::jumping1::hyper::jumping1::hyper:

My kids and I had a fun time reading through them this afternoon too. HA! The things you learn everyday.

Yippee! 100 days!!!

Woo Hoo for 100 days!!! :woohoo:

Although, I have to admit I found it hard to get past the point on that list about women only washing their hair once a month. I can barely make it more than a day before I'm freaking out.

That one particularly stood out to me too! My girls were totally grossed out at that. I can go 2 days, but beyond that - NO WAY!!

And eggs?? Wouldn't that just be so gross? Like washing your hair in snot?!!

Still 100 days- here and there. :goodvibes

Woo hoo for me being able to say HAPPY 100!

I love your list -- could never wash my hair only once a month (that is a DAILY occurence in my life). And I am so GLAD that I am past the point of those school books being in my house and my having to deal with them.

I have a long, long, long way to go with school books in the house. Worth it, but need a break!!

No problem, Rebecca! I know you're here. :goodvibes Glad you found some time to play on the real computer though. It's always fun to hear from you.

I was just looking around on the Fun Boards one day, and found just what I was looking for. They were there when I searched for Journal Covers. I think they may have been a Thread Title even. :confused3 I just clicked Save Target As, and plopped it on my desktop. I think if you ask those DISigners they will even customize them for you, given enough lead time.

Me too! It would be really, really fun to meet you. ARe you sure you don't have to be in DC on August 29th for your TA business?? ::yes::

I've been reading up on the Creative Disigns board - wow, there's a lot of stuff over there! I'd feel bad asking for something specific, though -it seems like a lot of work. Maybe I'll just bug Cynthia;)

Yeah, I don't think I'll have a good reason (other than a meet!) to make it to DC. Wish I could though :sad1:

:cheer2:Yay for 100 days! I was just wondering recently how close I was to that mark. My countdown on my signature is not very helpful, stating it in months, weeks and days. I used to have on on my computer desktop that I downloaded from Intercot. I need to put that back on so I can really keep track.

There is a varitible PLETHORA of fun stuff over there!! I've downloaded some stuff, and will share that a bit later in my PTR. Suffice it to say, it is all super cool and "helpful".

Dang! It would uber great to meet you!!

I needed to use the good old fashioned finger on the calendar method. Worked well until my kids interrupted me a zillion times. Yeah, I can count. Barely. I finally resorted to writing the decade numbers on the darn thing. :lmao:

On the hair washing discussion: eggs are actually considered to be very good for your hair!! And if you rinse it out afterwards, it can't become smelly. :goodvibes It's supposed to make your hair very shiny! :goodvibes I think it must be the protein in it - aren't their quite a lot of shampoos that advertise with protein?? :confused3

Oh and other interesting rinses are apple cider vinegar (which I actually use sometimes with pretty nice results) and beer (which I don't use, don't want to be in danger of smelling like a drunkard).

Awesome 100 list! Very interesting!

You feel free to start a new thread on June 6th! :) You may hit 250 before then! But the Mods may let you keep this open for just a bit to make it to June 6...maybe. ;)

I am getting excited about our trip!!! 100 days! almost to DOUBLE DIGITS! Can you believe we have been planning this for ... what... 400 days? Or more? Was it 500? I can't count. I need some of those books you just showed us. :)

We are going to have a blast!

 You're getting closer Liesa!

I know! I know!!! It's almost so real I can taste it!

I've actually heard of that too, but the way the shampoo companies disguise the slime makes it more palatable to the average consumer. I would try the apple cider vinegar, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Fun stuff, huh?

I could always ask O Mari. We'll see. I think if I open a new thread on June 6th, it'll just sit empty until I get back on the 24th anyway. I'll have to think about it some more.

ME TOO!! I think I called you in December of LAST year! That's a long time!!!

I have found out that it works best, to use the apple cider vinegar as a rinse after the shampoo and before the conditioner. Otherwise it makes my hair way too dry! I use one cup of vinegar dilluted in one liter of water - and make sure you use warm water. I did not think about it the first time I tried it and then started pouring the cold water over my head... :scared1: And then I rinse thoruoghly with water afterwards before applying the conditioner.

And of course you ought to use silicone free shampoo and conditioner, ask If You Had Wings! ;)

did i miss the 100 day celebration?!?!?! I'm so sorry if I did...if I didn't...

Hi Jennifer!!! Welcome back! From your TR, it looks like you had a super great time (well, at least the car rental and arrival went ok!) !!

Nope, you didn't miss it at all! It's even STILL 100 days, as it's 10:00 in the evening here. Tomorrow is another busy day, but hopefully, I'll get another 100 days update up. Afterall, it'll be 100 days until my NEXT day of fun, right?? Today, is only the 100 day of my arrival!!! ;)

OK, seriously this is sounding VERY complicated! I usually use the shampoo that is on sale, slather it on, don't use conditioner, and am good to go. I never blow dry, and use a curling iron about once year. Obviously hair care is WAY down on my list. But, I'm willing to give it a go... as long as I don't smell like a salad. :lmao:

you need to let the beer go flat first or it's foam for days!

or so I've been told. Mayo is also supposed to be good...the eggs and the oil I'd imagine

i keep telling my son that so much was different from when i was in 1st grade till now when he is in first grade. he just cannot comprehend no cell phones, no laptop, no cable, no dvd (especially in cars), no booster seats, etc. i cant imagine how different the world will be when my kids have kids
happy 100 days, i am dancing for you:dance3::dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::banana::banana::banana:

Well, it's taken me TWO full days to read just the links for your entire TR(s) (and I even skipped a bunch of the ADR games), but I'm finally all caught up! I find your upcoming trip interesting to say the least. I can't really imagine going anywhere with strangers, so I'm intrigued to find out how this all goes.
Happy 100 days to go!:dance3:
