An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

You'll have to let us know how the tour is; Mark's always wanted to do a tour at Disney and I could never decide which one to surprise him with.

I'd still think about that massage...you'd be amazed how good it will make you feel (I always get mine at the midway point of the trip).

You know we like Living with the Land. It so reminds us of being back home. We especially love the part where it smells like poop aka fertilizer. While others freak, we smile and say "Ahhh...smells like home." :rotfl:

The Seeds Tour will be fun! I can't wait to hear all about it!

I've decided...when you start getting closer and posting your daily plans, I'll throw in a few random facts about where you'll be that day from my Hidden Secrets book. :)

Your countdown means it's 100 days until my Birthday. :woohoo:

I think the Behind the Seeds tour would be great, it's something that I want to do someday for sure.

You need to have the cheesecake dessert at Brown Derby! What we did in 2008 was get it to go and ate it while waiting for Fantasmic, it was perfect. And the cheesecake from Brown Derby?? The best one on property and I've tried A LOT of them. :rolleyes1

Yup!! 100 days til you get to celebrate DISNEY style!!! WOOT! It also means that 100 days from tomorrow WE GET TO MEET EACH OTHER! :woohoo: I'm getting VERY excited for that!

I've always been completely infatuated with The Land Pavilion! I'm a wannabe gardener for sure! Actually, I struggle with blood sweat and tears here in Crapistan to grow ANYTHING, but had GREAT luck with EVERYTHING, especially my dahlias in Oregon, where things just grow themselves. I will definitely take loads of pix and be doing an entire post on my TR about it. (Maybe even 2 ;))

OK, you've convinced me. I was really only going to do the tie-dye cheesecake because it is a "thing to do" at POP, but am sorta a take it or leave kinda cheesecake gal. ASK MAROO. I didn't get cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory at our Meet in Nashville. If I'm going to get it, I want it to be VERY good! and smallish piece. And if I have to bare my cheesecakey soul, I'd probably end up getting the brulee at Brown Derby anyway. And that is probably WAYYYYYYYYYYYY more information about my cheesecake tendencies than you EVER wanted to know. :lmao:

6 a.m. to midnight, but during the last hour, you are only going to be able to get snacks, as the cooking areas will be closing down. You may or may not find cheesecake still there late at night. I would bet on the side of 'there will be some', though. What time is the Fantasmic you are going to?

If Leslie votes for that cheesecake, I would give it a try. Since you will be at Brown Derby, you might as well do it right. You can get the tie-dyed cheesecake any other time during your stay, and although it is a tradition for us to get it, I would honestly not say it is awesome cheesecake.

LL, when you go on the Behind the Seeds tour, Jill and I want to come along. :) We've been wanting to do that for a while.

I KNEW MeMom would come through for me!!! I KNEW IT!! Thank you so much!!! Right now Disney says that F! is 8:30, but you know how schedules change! ;) The park closes at 10:00, and I had hoped to linger a bit for some nighttime shots in the park. I figure I'll get back to POP around 11:15 or so??

I agree with MeMom, the tie dyed cheesecake is something to be tried at least once but quite honestly it's not great. I'm a cheesecake snob. :rotfl:

Someday our trips will overlap MeMom and we can go on that tour together! :goodvibes

Well, I only want my cheesecake info. from the experts- so THANKS!!!!

I think doing a tour with DISers would be so fun!! But, I'm also quite excited to do it solo as well.

Okay, my cheesecake-lovin' heart just broke a little. :guilty: No cheesecake from The Chessecake Factory? :scared1:

Don't worry about the jump to 20 minutes at all. I was worried when I did the c25k program, and was amazed at how much easier it was than I thought it would be. (For some reason the next week which was back to an interval arrangement was my toughest week). Just see though, you'll be surprised by yourself.

This may be just the encouragement I needed to download and try W5! I was going to camp on W4 a few more days, and am actually eager to start and do Days 1 and 2, but 20 minutes- YIKES!!!!:scared1: I ran today, and am so confuzled as to why the 1st half of ALL my runs is SOOOO much harder than the last half. :confused3 Just not understanding that at all!

THANKS, Crissy!!

It's great to see your progress in the C25K!

I think I can
I think I can
I think I can

Oh yeah - breathe...

I think I can
I think I can
I think I can

How did you know what's going on in my head??!!

Seriously, I'm like Dory all the time.

Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming..., crap, my legs hurt, just keep swimming.

and

Failure is NOT an option, failure is NOT and option....

I thought you might use the 100 day war somehow in your post...

I only have 12 days left!

I thought about that, but that requires study, and I've had (as you well know!) far too many people in and out of my house for 3 days!! :scared1::eek::scared1:

You'll have to let us know how the tour is; Mark's always wanted to do a tour at Disney and I could never decide which one to surprise him with.

I'd still think about that massage...you'd be amazed how good it will make you feel (I always get mine at the midway point of the trip).

This one is perfect for me, because A) it's cheap, B) it's only an hour, and C) I LOVE The Land.

I spent a few minutes taking a last look at my money/budget situation today. I need to spend a bit longer looking at it again, and may spring for it. Not decided 100% yet. I have some excellent news that I can share tomorrow that really impacts my trip. Stay tuned...

You know we like Living with the Land. It so reminds us of being back home. We especially love the part where it smells like poop aka fertilizer. While others freak, we smile and say "Ahhh...smells like home." :rotfl:

Did you grow up on a farm?? I don't remember there being a poo smell on the ride. YOu're talking about the boat ride, right??

You will definitely hear ALL about it.

Yes, do share them!! It will be interesting for everyone! ::yes::

Okay, my cheesecake-lovin' heart just broke a little. :guilty: No cheesecake from The Chessecake Factory? :scared1:

Nope, I'm just not a huge dessert eater in the first place, and I was STUFFED from that whatever it was I ordered. (I'm having a serious brain fart moment; it's VERY RARE I ever forget what I ate at a restaurant!) But, having just said that, I do have plans to get desserts with ALL my siggie dinners at least (3 of them). If they served portions of cheesecake that were about 1/3 the size, I'd probably have done it.

That's great you added the Behind the Seeds tour. I really should do that sometime. I'm always going for the more expensive tours  Great progress on the running. I know I can hardly run for 60 seconds straight!

Funny how you kept having to make amendments to that park hours sheet :rolleyes1

You have no idea how happy that dancing guy tower makes me! I was secretly hoping I'd get one today. :goodvibes I'm going to bed very soon, and can sleep with happy dances of all sorts now. :thumbsup2

I hope you slept well! and just think, when you wake up, it will be 99!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A (brand) new poster!!! :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:!!!
Thank you very much! I feel very welcome!

Believe it or not, I had a dream last night that I had a new poster (I don't put too much stock in that dream stuff), but hey in this case, I was right on the money. Speaking of money- YOU should get an incredible bonus for going back and reading it all! AMAZING!! Fun stuff, for sure, but that a LOT!!! I also had a dream I ran out of Trip Journaling pages- need to take care of that right now!! :scared1:
I can always use money!

And also, speaking of games.... I have my next game all planned out, and I'll start it when we get back at the end of June. (as a hint for all the regular players) I'll say that you are going to be very thankful you went back to read. :rolleyes1
I like games!

I recognized that immediately, Glenn! I wouldnt' worry, we share MOST Of the same posters! :rotfl:

As for this being the dark side-- You're the ones going to SWW!!

I didn't mean to cause problems. You can put the light sabers away now!:grouphug:

Having just found the DIS boards a few weeks ago, I had no idea that people wrote PTRs or TRs, or put in even more effort than I do planning trips. So, I'm just takin' a look-see at what other people do & gathering all the good ideas! Maybe I'll start an Disney idea notebook....

BTW, DH was deployed to Afghanistan for a year & can't believe you actually live in Blankastan. Glad you're returning stateside!

Well this has certainly been a busy little thread, but I guess I should have expected that! All the super-organized plans look great, I wish I had that kind of patience and craftiness! :thumbsup2

Since you are looking for Snow White & 7 Dwarves pressed pennies, when we were in DL we noticed that one of the shops on Main Street (next to the ice cream parlor) housed tons of the pressed penny machines, and I know I saw some that had dwarves b/c DS got some. Maybe there is a similar shop in the WDW MK?

Just stopping in to say 'hi'!!!!

I see you have a few new posters to usher in your double digits!!!!

I must I admit I've barely 'skimmed'. LOLOL

Here is a little dance for 99!!!!!
:dance3::dance3: :banana::banana: :dance3::dance3:

I actually thought you and how much you would like this tour. :goodvibes HA! Yeah, I'm a penny pincher- even at WDW. :rotfl2: It's actually rather pathetic.

I'm pleased wth the running, but still have a VERY long way to go. I think the goal of doing it in 30 minutes is a bit of a joke, though. I run so slow that the turtles are actually laughing at me.

I hope you slept well! and just think, when you wake up, it will be 99!

Not to be a whiner, but I have not slept for 3 nights. I was up at 4 this morning (after having fallen asleep around 1) making lists, and now stewing about our trip (the one to Chaostan). It is DEFINITELY crunch time for Bek and getting her packed for real. Time to weigh her bags, buy her toiletries, finalize her transcript to take to the US (to enter comm. college), ect...

I wish I had access to a sedative, it's that bad. I"m a basketcase. And I'm NOT a medicine in general taker. So that says a lot!

well well, i finally found this report.

WOOT!!!! Dan's here!!!! I had always thought you'd known about our party here, so I'm glad I mentioned something on your thread!!!!

:welcome:, my fellow Fort Fiend. ;)

Having just found the DIS boards a few weeks ago, I had no idea that people wrote PTRs or TRs, or put in even more effort than I do planning trips. So, I'm just takin' a look-see at what other people do & gathering all the good ideas! Maybe I'll start an Disney idea notebook....

First off, NO worries on stirring the pot. We actually do that to each other quite regularly- all in good fun, as Glennbo already said. Feel free to rib us anytime you want, most of us have pretty thick skin. ;)

I didn't either (know about the PTR and TRs) until I poked around some more. The last time I did a TR, I stuck it over on the camping threads (where very few people found it) because we had stayed at the Fort. If I could have a do-over, I'd have done it here AND there. Ah well.

If I may monologue for a bit: I think you'll find a variety of "reasons" people write PTRs and TRs. Some, I think just LOVE to write and have a story to tell (partly me), others just need a place to get their thoughts down and share their excitement (but, these will be a bit more brief than the first category); then you'll have those looking to find comraderie and "friendship", (also partly me), who love the interaction and banter. Lastly, there is a category of those use a thread to glean or bounce ideas off the others here. I think over time, you'll find the "kind" that fits you best. Correct me if I'm way off here, ya'll. (HI GB!)

A Disney notebook is a MUST!!!! You can post pictures here if you want to :)

I hope your DH returns you safely and healthy! That's a terrible situation to be in! We feel very safe here, but are just very tired; Most call it ministry burnout. The Lord knows when it's time to call it quits - at least for a time. ;)

Maybe I should start a business in creating Disney books. LOL!!! JUST KIDDING!!! I'M NOT SELLLING ANYTHING!! :lmao: If you took a close look, they are very amateurish, but serve the purpose well- and probably OVERLY adequately.

GREAT hint! I think it might be the Emporium that's the same-ish on Mn. Str. ?? :confused3 I'll take a look. From what I understand, if you pop into Guest Services, they have a list of all the PP machines on property to help you find them. BUT, I've also heard it can be a bit outdated. Sooooooooo, before my trip, I want to take a peek at the pressed penny site again. When I do, I'll post a link.

It's all good. We like to kid around. :goodvibes

Believe it or not, J, that speaks volumes to me!!

I am in the middle of stuff right now...trying to find my way. I am lucky I have friends who love me and a Great Father who cares for me. It's been a tough month for sure. I miss you Liesa.

Oh and I may be in TN this summer... July/Aug/Sept.......

I know. And it's not easy "stuff".

"Comforter, Counselor, Healer, Spirit we long to embrace"....

That song popped into my head as I read this. You are definitely NOT alone in this scary place. Miss you too!!! I know you'll be back when you're ready- until then, come when you can and want.

Nashville?? That's only an hour from Bowling Green!!
