I combined the idea that everyone would want to time it "just right" for F! with the typical popular restaurant times and guessed earlier. I thought it was going to be 6:20 or something closer.
Good strategy, Melissa!!! Excellent choice! I really would have thought that I could have gotten my time, really. I would have thought that since it was nudging into the "too late for F!" times, it would have been a cinch. Ah well, like we've said, this may actually work, out better. I will use the extra time I have to try to get a good seat, and work on updating my touring notes.
Uh-huh!

Sounds like you're getting crowd hammered- bummer dealio!! Yeah, I hope the MK was better and you could not have to smelll everyone's bad breath and BO cuz they're standing too close.
Hey Liesa! Hope you had a good weekend! I guess I missed the first round, darn it! I have such a hard time finding any time to DIS on the weekends. But, I did manage to get my ADRs chosen - I'll have an update on my PTR sometime today or tonight (tomorrow morning for you)
I did!! But like you, it's VERY, VERY hard to DIS on the weekends. I did work on Mary's quilt and got 2 blocks hand-quilted!! Oh, it is turning out sooooooooo pretty; the best I've ever done!! No knots whatsoever showing anywhere.

I'll scoot over to your PTR this AM to check out your ADRs! isn't it fun when our plans take on a concrete dimension to them??
Well I was wrong !! I based it on being SOLO so thought you'd be ON TIME!!! Okay waiting for Round 2 !!!!!
Me too, Rosie; I really thought this would be a bird in hand ressie!!
That's the weird things: tables for one or two seem to be harder to get than for larger groups, especially at the signature restaurants.
Yeah, I just don't get that! I suppose I could have chosed to sit in the bar and eat there?? If you can do that at this one? I, too, think it's strange? could it be that they are reluctant to give them to solo diners since they have to take up a 2 topper anyway, and less revenue would be made?? That's my guess.
Dang, I missed the start of the game! I was hoping for your sake you got an earlier ressie b/c 6:40 felt like cutting it too close to me. Of course, the meal may be quicker by yourself, so it might have worked. But the new time will probably work better!
As for that "game" you were watching on tv...

That is crazy! I can just imagine my reaction if a sports team showed up at my door with a dead sheep expecting me to cook it! They would be sadly disappointed b/c I am not a good cook!
yeah, in hindsight I see that now. Frankly, though, I'm ambivalent, really as to the time. Que sera, sera. I think it will be a quick meal, unless I take the time to update my touring notes some.
I think you'd do fine at cooking the goat. All they do is boil it.

Seriously, the cuisine here is sadly lacking ANY seasonings other than garlic (maybe) salt, pepper, and... ummmm, nothing else.
Hi Liesa, I hope you are ok, haven't seen you around at all today. I guess it's tomorrow for you already...
Doing fine, Magdelene!! Just really hard to get any DISsing done on the weekend. Since yesterday was the holiday, we moved our church meeting and non-computer day to yesterday- totally messed up my groove! But I did get a bunch of quilting done! And got soundly whipped in our game of Catan!! I hate that.
