An interesting topic from my holocaust class...what do you think?

Evil doesn't exist??? On a small scale how does your professor explain serial killers like Dammer? And I guess he thinks it's ok for Sadam Hussain to also kill thousands of people too ? There's plenty of evil out there trust me!!!

The nature of evil is a whole different debate..There is no evil entity or devil in Judaism.. I believe that evil is something people produce themselves..It's not some sort of outside force..You can't blame things on Satan ,Devil etc..Humans are responsible for their choices good and bad..I put the blame for the Holocaust right where it belons, on the people who participated in the acts

Maybe your teacher is playing devil's advocate?

Do kindly do me a favor though and remind the teacher that 12,000,000 people perished in the holocaust, not 6,000,000. It really burns me when 6,000,000 souls are completely brushed aside...

We are all capable of terrible evil. Though some have greater propensities than others, none of us should imagine we are incapable of evil in the circumstances in which it breeds. Best to identify and avoid those circumstances as a society
