An interesting tidbit of info re:dream FP's and child swap

When we were dreamed today 2 of our party were not with us because we were exiting BTMM and we had some kids too small to ride. We were able to go to the CM's handing them out and they told us to go to City Hall with our ENTIRE party and explain to them what happened. Through some miracle they were able to give us 2 dream FP's for those that weren't with us when they were handed out. It was SO wonderful and I wanted to let you know that this is a possibility if this happens to you.

Over the last 4 days I saw so many people with dream fastpasses. I wish we had been one of them. Never saw them being handed out though.

We did the same thing back in September. I was off trying to get my youngest to nap in the stroller (since he was too little to go on the matterhorn anyways). So we went to city hall (I knew to do that thanks to this board!), told them what happened, they called the dream team who came and verified that they recognized my FIL, and they gave me AND the baby the dream fastpasses as well.

Not true. If you win dream passes and your entire party is not together, the OP is correct. City Hall will get them for your entire group.

We got Dream FP's on Sunday. My DH and DS were not with us. We went to City Hall. They asked us where we got them and what time. They gave them to DH and DS. We were so excited because the park was busy! Also, at City Hall we were told they had to be used that day. But a CM in the park told us they can be used until the end of the year. We used some on Sunday and some on Monday with no problem.

While DS and I were on Dumbo, hubby saw the Team handing out ears to *anyone* who walked by. He went over there and tried to get even just one, but they REFUSED to hand him even ONE, because it was for families.

He pointed at us, but they still refused.

And since we both know that they do sometimes have that sort of caveat, it could have been OK.....BUT.....

What was hard about that is that DS and I were on the same ride cycle as a man and his older son, and I WATCHED the man's wife and baby go over to get the ears, and she got FOUR.

He would have been happy with just the one, but they refused, even though the woman got them for her whole family.

Lesson? They don't trust a man and a stroller, but they trust a woman + baby and stroller.

(and if you can only hand it to "families", don't set up shop BEHIND a ride for kids that only comfortably fits 2'ish normal people, which means someone or more than one person will be left behind while others ride!)

I'm really hoping that we either don't run into the Dream Team this trip (the above happened on our first big trip Sept of '07, and other than a Magical Moment we haven't run into the DT again) or they've figured things out a bit more than then.

Sunday was me and my daughter's lucky day.. we got in the park, walked through the castle and won the pin lanyards, she wanted hot cocoa as we were walking toward frontierland so I said "Oh mainstreet has that cart", so we started to walk towards mainstreet and noticed the dream team by the petrified tree, they were handing out ears, and it was only my daughter and I and they handed them to us both. . so off we went towards main street, well someone told us to go towards the tunnel between the mexican restaurant and the castle they were handing out fast passes, so yep, there we went. . . we were both like WOW, bam bam bam. . so we went enjoyed the park, went to DCA, came back to DL and was going towards fantasyland, cuz we never ended up riding anything over there, and won another set of ears. . . so there was our lucky mother daughter outing.. . No I did not go play the lottery, i'm not THAT lucky. . .

WOW! That's some amazing day! I have never been handed ears, a lanyard, or a dream fast pass. To get all in one day is just "wow!" Congrats!

It's true! We were told there was nothing we could do when half our family received DFP in June. Luckily, someone had posted the City Hall info right here on the board that week and I had read it right before we went to DL.

It's really nice of you to post this info for others out there. Every CM in the park said "no way" except the ones in City Hall!
