An Important Announcement - Everyone Please Read

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that Cathy McConnell (aka WebmasterCathyCanada) has asked to step down from her role as an Assistant Webmaster on the DIS. Quite frankly, I don't know how she lasted this long...managing a very busy husband, two wonderful and very active kids, her work with Dreams Unlimited and her role here. The funny thing is that she did all the above wonderfully and for nearly 5 years now. Cathy's decision to spend more time focused on some other areas of her life is a good one for her, but certainly leaves a void here, especially with those of us who know her well and call her friend. Cathy found the site 5 years ago, quite by accident. Almost from Day 1 she was an active participant, and a pleasure to know. She was in the first team of moderators that came on board (back when we had all of three forums), and quickly thereafter became Assistant Webmaster. In that role, Cathy was pivotal in helping us develop content, deciding course and direction for the boards, as well as helping us pull off the Around the World Tour in 2000. Of course Cathy will continue her work as President of Dreams Unlimited Travel, and she will continue to be here on the boards, just in a more relaxed capacity. I've made sure that she still has her WM privs on the boards, so don't think she can't delete you if she wants to Please join me in thanking CC for 5 wonderful years here on the DIS. I know we will all miss her greatly.
