An Ignorant Question about Teenagers

Oh, Amy...if Hepzibah has half the stubbornness of me and SO, I am IN for it when she hits puberty! :teeth: This I already know. That's why I try to pay attention now...taking notes for later!

Yeah, my mom finds the whole thing pretty fricking hysterical. :teeth: Apparently, this is karma biting me in the behind.

DW and I are old school as well. We have taught our children (DS, now 21 and twin DD's, now 15) that life is choice and consequence. (And at times it may be unfair). They have learned to "get over it" and "deal with it" as part of life.

My oldest spent weeks complaining about how her life sucks ( I really dislike that word and she kept using it to push my buttons) after awhile I just got sick of it and told her to get over it, life sucks then you die! She was stunned (first off I said sucks...) She still will gripe and moan occasionally, but not the amount she used to.
