An APRIL Adventure in Autism: 2008 (8/8) Time to Say Good-Bye....

I can't believe you're leaving for ANOTHER trip........!!!!!!!

Glad the housing situation is resolved.......

Are you ready to go?

are you ready to drive?

Jordy.

It's so scary to lose a kiddo! We lost Zachary at the BEACH when he was 2!!! There were too many adults watching the kids - everyone assumed someone else was watching him - he was right in front of us in a big hole in the ground playing... I turned around to get something from the cooler, turned back and he was gone! I was standing there screaming his name, totally freaking out! DH found him, he had gone down to the water. :scared1: He wanted some more water for his bucket to dump in his big hole. One of the most frightening thing that's ever happened to me!

Have a GREAT trip!! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Amy

Have an AWESOME trip Kathy!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get home! Drive safe :drive:

I just found your link over here and now you're gone! Have a great time and if we get out to the parks Sunday, I'll look for you all.

I also have had glasses since age 11, got contacts the next year thankfully, but I found a cool website for glasses. Check it out if you have time.

We're back and, Oh, SNAP!!! I've got two reports I've got to work on now!!! :faint:

I don't know whether to try and finish the November report completely and then begin the April report, or to try and write them both at the same time. :surfweb:

What do you all think?? Concurrent reports or Consecutive???

Kathy

Welcome Back!! :welcome: I hope you guys had a fantastic time! How much of your November report do you have left?? If it's not too much, I would say to finish that one up first. But don't leave us hanging for too long... :rolleyes1

Welcome back! I hope your trip was wonderful! I think finish the first one, it might be easier. Whatever way I will be reading!

Welcome back Kathy!

Don't care HOW you do them, just please do them! kthx. Hope you had a great trip!

I'm for finishing the November one first...I think I'd get confused if you were doing both at the same time. Plus I'm dying to hear the rest of the AR stories!

I am thoroughly ashamed to admit that I am not even halfway through our week in the November report! I'd better get my butt in gear!!

Oh, and BTW, I'm sorry I didn't get to do a "Goodbye Post". Ed was rushing us out the door and I didn't want to incur his wrath if he found me DISing when I should have been packing the car!!!

Thanks for all the well-wishes,

Kathy

Welcome back!!! I'll read whatever one update to! I am excited to learn how the trips turned out!

Eye, Eye, Eye....

Ugggh.

I just couldn't put it off any longer.

Our safety on the long road trip to Orlando was at stake.

I finally gave in and had my stupid eyes checked.

Ugggh. The verdict is in.

It's glasses for Kathy! :3dglasses

Yes, my eyes must have noticed that the rest of my body was, uh, shall we say, maturing, and they decided that they'd better jump on the bandwagon and begin aging along with the rest of me.

I'm 43 and I've never been to an opthamologist in my entire life. I never needed glasses before...always passed those eye chart exams the school nurse gave... Hey, if it ain't broke....

Well, over the past year I've noticed that I can't read the highway signs until they are just about on top of me and that everything seemed just a teeny bit blurry when I drove at night. Since I'm going to have to spell Ed when driving to Florida, and since some of that driving will be done at night, I finally bit the bullet and scheduled an eye examination.

The opthamologist couldn't help but laugh at me.

"Well, Mrs. K., I'm surprised it took you this long to come and see me," he chuckled. "Your vision is 20/150!"

"Aha," I nodded, "so it appears that my sneaking suspicions were correct."

Rats. Glasses.

What's next, a hearing aid and a walker? Sigh.

Okay, Okay. So I'm being dramatic. So it's really not so bad. I just need them for driving, and probably just at night, anyway.

But still. It's just one more sign that time is marching on.

And it's marching all over my body!!

"See" 'ya later....

Kathy

Honey wait until you get the dreaded bi-focals. I have worn glasses most of my life, no biggie. When he told me that I needed bi-focals I think I aged about 20 years in a minute. :lmao:

Welcome back,

Do I have good timing or what, I just got caught up in time to here all about your trip.

I vote you put everything on hold and work on both reports at once.

Just kidding you can do the house work, cooking, ironing, sewing, maintenance on the car, packing for the move and work on both reports at the same time. :lmao:
