I'm in!!! I like Peacock Pack first and Kungaloosh Krewe next. I'm not a drinker, but if you ever see me on a sugar high, it looks the same. LOL Sat night I had WAY too much peanut butter fudge at a wives' get together and I almost got banned from future gatherings. :rolleyes1

October is what I voted for. February works well too. My ds16 is always off Mardi Gras week so he could join us. Otherwise, I can go w/o him. He has been so many times, he wouldn't mind. I will go anytime during value season. I cannot go during the summer months for health reasons. I pretty much stay inside all summer.

BTW, FWGuy, I am a cajun as well. I LOVE etouffe. I could be pursuaded to bring some. :cool2:

I had a real string of bad luck and got rid of the bike after I broke my 8th bone on it. The last broken bone was on a tiny dirt bike! I walked around with a broken leg for 2 days before I saw a doctor. That was in 1974! Haven't ridden since! My last airborne jump was in 1996! Gee, you're right. Life is getting boring!

I smell a hijack. Nonetheless, my DH just wrecked his motorcycle the other day. It wasn't too awful bad, but he (and the bike)are a little banged up. I think he's more concerned about the bike than himself.

Anyway, I voted for December~love that Christmas season!:santa:

My wife makes a GREAT Jambalaya....right out of the Tony Cachere's box!!! :stir: It actually IS delicious when you add boiled chicken thigh meat, a good cajun smoked sausage, and some Crystal hot sauce(not tobasco)and...MUAH! Dat's sum goood jumbo-laya, chere, I ga-roan-tee!
And ya'll.....I aint much of a drinker either, if I could find a way to get drunk without it, Id NEVER drink!!!

I voted for July simply because it is a long haul from Vermont and we will be there from June 28 - July 18 :goodvibes

So the menu is shaping up like this:

Etouffe
Jambalaya
Gumbo

Anybody bringing dirty rice?

We are gonna need those Kungalooshes to put out the fire!

OK, OK. I'll try to stay on topic! But those broken bones hurt! I think I may have exaggerated about the number. It's grown from 5 to 8 over the years!

I'll bring the antacid.

I still like December.

It looks like December is winning so far with October, my fav, a distant second. We may have to use October as a warm up for the December gala. My only request is that if I am unable to attend, no matter when it is, that someone enlarge a picture of me and prop it up somewhere so that I can participate vicariously. We could maybe coordinate a Kungaloosh toast so that I could take part in the virtual party.

I voted for December since that seems to be the time we can get down there each year. I can't think of a name that is creative enough to keep up with these others. I was thinking something on the lines of Fort Fiends Fest.

I voted January.... but will be arriving Dec. 30, 08. Alot a us are coming for Dec....but I'd guess that our vacations will be at different times through out the month. We need a MONTH long party! Each week someone needs to be the "Host":dance3:

I'll be there the week of Dec 12, 08. I'd be glad to play hostess! Maybe longer if I can finagle it. Did I spell that right?

Disney needs to alter that marketing campaign to Year of a Million Beers at the Fort.

He reminded me of my Grandfather, just add accent and a gator. This is starting to sound like a Mardi Gras character meet and greet, someone needs to bring some beads and invite Chippendale.

I usually bring beads for our annual RADP Loin Inspection Board Meet. Have to reward those bead worthy men for keeping their loins in top notch condition. After all, I am a Certified Loin Inspector. :rotfl:

be careful, i got in trouble for checking out a pair of winnebagos.
