I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, in the past couple of years I've had to put down three of my beloved kittys and each one was just as difficult as the last so I know how you feel

At least you did the right thing, even if it isn't easy, we'll always have the happy memories they gave us over the years

Jen I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet fur baby! I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. I hope that you are feeling better, but I know it takes time. I think that whole Rainbow Bridge thing totally applies to kitties too. I'm thinking about you!

On the bright side, nothing can cheer someone up quite like Disney. Only six more days!

I am so so sorry to hear about your Kitty. It makes me cry whenever I hear about someone losing a pet, as I know all too well what that's like. I lost two cats, both too young - one from cancer and one from some crazy auto-immune disease. DH was in the room with both of them because, like you, I just couldn't bring myself to be there.

Just know, that many of us know what you're going through and as much as I'd like to say it will get easier, that used to make me so mad when people would tell me that. I kept saying, I don't want it to get easier because that means I'm forgetting about him. (I'm bawling right now as I'm typing this btw!) It's been two years since we lost Jack and I miss him every day.

Thank you so much It's so awful losing a pet, I've lost 2 cats in 2 years, and Nina is especially hard because she was MY baby. I'm so glad Brandon was able to take her and didn't make me go, because from what he tells me happened in the room, I probably would have been traumatized for life. I'm so sorry to hear about your cats.

I would like it to get easier, but I know I will never forget Nina (or Angelica, of course). I have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I have to go on with my life normally, and just be ok with the fact that Nina is no longer here. It's just so hard. I know I will miss her every day just like you miss your cat.

Thank you It's very hard losing a pet, Nina was like my baby, so it's hard just going on without her. I'm glad I have Brandon, the DIS and my upcoming trip to distract me. And of course, my 2 surviving cats are both being extra sweet lately, so that's really nice of them!

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing pets is so hard. You did the right thing putting her down so she didn't have to suffer. She is no longer in pain. I hope the trip is able to distract you from this sad time.

Thank you I know we did the right thing, I didn't want her to suffer anymore than she already was, but it's such a hard decision. I miss my kitty so much. I'm so happy I'm going to Disney in a few days, I know I will be missing her there, but there will be so much going on to distract me, hopefully I won't think about it too much.

I'm so sorry, Jen! I know how hard it is to make that decision...i had a cat that had kidney cancer that we had to let go, too. It's so strange how they'll be perfectly fine then one day it all just kicks in and it all goes downhill pretty fast. I know it sucks but you made the right decision. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you It is a hard decision, you know you have to do the right thing for them so they don't suffer, but at the same time, you want to keep them as long as possible. I made that mistake with Angelica, I kept her for weeks after the vet told us she was sick but I wasn't ready to let her go and in the end, she was just awful, I can't ever do that again to a pet. It's so hard with cats, because they don't let you know that they are sick until it's usually too late.

Thank you...aww, my fur baby. It was really, really hard, but I'm doing a little better now that a few days have gone by. I hope that Rainbow Bridge thing applies to kitties, that would be really unfair if it didn't!

I'm so happy I have Disney to look forward to in a few days, I need a break from reality for a few days and just some fun, Disney magic in my life!

5 Days!​

Hi everyone! I just want to thank everyone again for your kind words about Nina. I'm glad I have such great DIS friends to help me through this awful time. It's been hard for me these past few days, but I think I'm ready to focus on this trip again and start getting excited! I'm ready to get away for a few days and just be happy!

I missed my single digit dance, I even missed my one week dance. So today, we're going to do the

5 DAY DANCE!!!



Can you believe that in just 5 days I'll be in my happy place, because I can't!

~This past weekend, I went crazy going shopping, buying all of our toiletries and last minute things I need for the trip. I know Crocs are hideous and Brandon hates them, but I needed a new pair, so I got some new navy blue ones. I need a few more things (like nail polish to do Disney nails!) and then I'll be ready to go! I'm glad I have Friday off to pack and run around and get anything I forgot!

~OMG! I got a GREAT price for our rental car-$81!!! And with Alamo, which is really the only company I'm familiar with! I'm glad we're not paying over $100 for a car we might not even use that much, being so close to Epcot and DHS!

~I'm thinking I might cancel our Cape May breakfast ADR on our last day. I'm not sure what park we are going to end up at that day, but I don't want to waste too much time at a character breakfast. If we go to AK, maybe I'll see if we can get into Boma, or maybe we can just eat at Captain's Grill. I think it would be better to save Cape May for a longer trip, where we have more time!

~I gave up on Weight Watchers for this trip. I think I even gained back the whole 2 pounds I lost. I just could not focus or get motivated. I'm actually regretting buying the Photopass CD, because I feel like I'm not going to want many pictures of myself on this trip, I feel like I'm bigger than I have been in a long time. But there's nothing I can do about it 5 days out, all I can do is make sure I get back on track as soon as I get home so I look and feel better for our potential Fall trip!

I think that's it for today! I'm going to try to do an update every night before we leave, even if it's just to countdown the days! Have a great night, I'm going to catch up on a few TR's then I'm off to make Mousekeeping envelopes!

I can totally understand your thought on cancelling your Cape May ADR. You want to make sure you get in as much Disney time as possible before you have to leave, especially on a shorter trip like this.


81 dollars for a rental car sounds amazing! Now you'll have a faster mode of transportation if you want to somewhere besides Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

DON'T mention a fall trip. I'm going to miss food and wine sooooooooo much this fall. Greg and I are skipping Disney this fall. We're going to go to San Francisco. It's going to be cheaper and after the downs of our trip in March/April, we need to take a break from Disney. At least we have the Taste of Chicago to look forward to in July; I can pretend we're in Disney!

I love buying last minute trip stuff! My obsession right now is slippers! I need a new pair of slippers SO bad and I can't find any! There's no way I can bring the ones I wear around the house, they are so gross, I should have gotten new ones months ago!

Haha, I always lose hair ties too, and I'm going to need them in Florida! I always try to wear my hair down there to look nice in pictures, but it's so hot, it always ends up tied up!

I was thinking of just doing red nails with white dots, like Minnie's dress. I can't do anything more in depth than that, and even putting dots on my right hand is going to be a challenge. I'm wondering if I should just do my toes instead. We'll see!

I'm going to cancel Cape May. I still want to do a breakfast that day but I'm just not sure where. Maybe I'll see if CP is available and we will go to MK that morning or something. Or maybe Whispering Canyon so we can visit the WL. I'm going to check what is available once I'm finished here!

Haha, well, San Francisco will be awesome, have you ever been there? It's so much fun, I went there years ago and loved it! And I'm still not 100% sure we're doing a Fall trip, I keep thinking maybe we should seriously just do Disneyland instead of putting it off and then go back to Disney World next year when Fantasyland is finished, since I don't think it will be open in November when I'm wanting to go. If only I could just fly down and do a quick weekend for Food and wine alone or something before my AP's are up, then go to Disneyland in December, that would be perfect!
