An Anniversary Trip Full of Favorites-May 2012 PTR!*TR Link 5/14 & Question 5/15 p32*

Yes, sounds like a plan! That's what I love about buffets! :thumbsup2

Oh I am SO jealous that you get to eat at Le Cellier!!!!!!

I HAVE to share with you some news!!!!!!
Mike surprised me with booking a trip for me, him, and rylan this fall!!!!!:cool1::woohoo:
He had me thinking that we wouldn't be going to WDW this year because of buying a house and all. :rolleyes1

Anyways, after he told me I said
Me: " YAY we can eat at Le Cellier!"
Mike: Nope. It's booked. I already checked"
Me : :eek::headache::sad1:

BUT he has given me full planning on food and such. We just have the basic dining plan, which I don't mind at all! I'm just excited to be able to go!:cloud9:

I can't believe your trip is so close!! Less than 2 weeks away!

I would DEFINITELY keep both ADRs! It's a Trip of Favorites, after all! Do ALL of your favorite things!!

I've never been asked by CRO if we were celebrating anything, but the Dining Line always asks me. The CM at the resort might ask you at check-in though. And if nothing else, you can get your buttons from Guest Relations in whatever park you go to first!

I can't either! It seemed like it would never get here and now it's 10 days away! :woohoo:

I am 90% sure I'm keeping both ADR's and that's my reasoning, it's a favorites trip, why not! :cool1:

That's so weird you have never been asked if you're celebrating! They ask me every time I call, except for this trip! It would be nice if the CM checking us in asked, I didn't think of that...I'm going to call one more time and see if they ask me! :rotfl:

You're soooooo close to being in single digits!!!:woohoo:

Hmm, I don't know if I could do both Le Cellier and Cape May on arrival day, but I know you and Brandon love both places. I guess since Cape May is a buffet, you wouldn't have to eat too much if you were still full from lunch.:confused3 I really don't know, though.

I love SimpleDisneyThings, as well! They make me so excited to be going to WDW when I see them. I frequently post them on my facebook page, and I know people think I'm crazy with how random it is, but I don't mind; it's the simple things that make Disney great, anyways.:thumbsup2

Love your favorites....and yes, 4 way ties are totally allowed! (It's MK we're talking about here, how could you possibly narrow MK rides down?!:rotfl2:)

I know, tomorrow will be single digits!!!

Well, Brandon and I like to eat, so I'm guessing we could probably handle both ADR's! :rotfl: They are spaced pretty far apart, so hopefully it will be ok! I'm more worried about us making it to Disney from the airport in time!

Isn't simpledisneythings great? You should find me on FB!

It was tough picking my favorites in MK...my favorite there changes every day, like today, I keep thinking about POTC and how much I can't WAIT to ride it! If I made that list today, that would be number one! :rotfl:

11 Days to go!!!
So jealous!!!!!!!!

Yay, 10 days now!! I can't wait!!! :dance3:

You are getting SO CLOSE. Yay! :cool1: Almost single digit dancing!!!

I know I can't believe it! :woohoo: Tomorrow we will be doing the single digit dance! :thumbsup2

So excited your almost at single digits!! I can't wait for your trip report!! It's going to be so good.
I started a trip report on my last trip, stop by if you want to. The link is in my siggy.

I love all your favorites!!! People mover is the best!!! I know it's such a boring ride to some people but it's the best!!!!! I would watch Philarmagic over and over and over. I could just sing to the music I  it! DHS - great choices! Epcot - Soarin but I can see how much you love it. Just like me. AK - Love it!!!!

Again, i can't wait to read your trip report!!!!

Single digits tomorrow! I will definitely check out your TR, I have limited DIS time tonight, but hopefully tomorrow I'll have more time since I get out of work earlier! :yay:

I don't think the Peoplemover is boring at all, I love riding through Tomorrowland, just watching everyone enjoy MK! I can't WAIT to be there!!! :cool1: I can't wait for Soarin and ToT and EE (if we do AK!)...ahh, I'm so excited! :woohoo:

YAY!!! I finally had time to sit down and read through your whole PTR so far!:cool1: It looks like you guys are going to have an AMAZING time!! I'm totally jealous that you are staying at the Beach Club and are so close to Epcot! When we first called Disney they asked if we were celebrating something...we told them our birthdays...so I don't know why they didn't ask you??? I reserved all our Dining online and you can put on there what you're celebrating, too. Your trip is sooooo close!!! How exciting!!! :yay::yay:

Yay, welcome, glad you made it over!

I'm so excited to be staying at the Beach Club again, it's such a beautiful resort, and being near Epcot is going to be awesome! :woohoo:

I don't know why they didn't ask me if I'm celebrating anything! They always do! Well, we'll see what happens when I call again, hopefully they will ask!

Only 10 days away! I'm so excited! :cool1:

In some parks it's just SO HARD to pick your top 3 hey?? lol. I'm that way too. When we got back from our last trip DD made up a visual display board of her favorite coasters. I told her to pick her top 5 and she could NOT DO IT!!! LOL so it ended up being the top 10 :)

Haha, yeah, it's tough narrowing down your top 3 or even 5 rides from each park! Everything in Disney is so much fun! :yay:

OMG a surprise trip, that's amazing!! :cool1: I'm so excited for you!!! Where are you staying?

Keep checking for Le Cellier, something might open up, if you check every day (if you're a stalker like I am! :rotfl:) something will almost definitely open up! :thumbsup2

We always do the basic dining plan, I'd love to try deluxe someday, maybe when we go in the Fall! Can't wait to hear where you're eating!

I will start checking everyday!!! I was SO UPSET!!!!!

We are going Sept 24-28 and staying at POP! I am excited because I always hear good things about POP and I know you've stayed there too and had great experience!

We are going right before F&W, which makes me sad, but we're getting free dining so I can't be too mad! Plus being a surprise (birthday/anniversary) makes it better right? :lmao:

I think you will find an opening for Le Cellier, it's still pretty far away, people cancel and change around ADR's all the time! :thumbsup2

I loved Pop, it was so much fun, I hope you like it!

Food and Wine starts on the 28th, so if you go to Epcot on the 27th, you will get to go to the soft opening, which is awesome, because it's not busy and I think all of the booths are open! We went last year on Thursday (that's when I had my migraine ) and everything was open, so maybe you'll at least get to do one day! :woohoo:

Yay for only 10 days left! :dance3:

As far as the buttons, if you don't get asked at check-in or before, you and Brandon can just "casually" be chatting with each-other during check-in about how excited you are to be celebrating your anniversary at the same place you stayed on your Disneymoon. That might tip them off! I guess it depends on the CM...we had a CM once that was so desperate to find something we were celebrating that we ended up getting "We're Celebrating!" buttons to "celebrate" getting Annual Passes. That was all we could come up with for him! :rotfl:

OOO I thought it started the 30th! That makes me happy!!!!!!:yay:
I don't think that I will do a PTR, and Im still trying to decide if I want to do a TR... I attempted to do a TR before, and never finished :confused3 I got too busy and it escaped me :sad2:
So, not sure about that, but even if I don't do a TR, I am sure I will be telling you about things :)

Okay, I'm so sorry I haven't been commenting on your PTR lately. A lot of catching up I've had to do, but I'm altogether now and commenting once again, so here I go *takes deep breath*...

That's so strange Disney doesn't ask you about what you're celebrating anymore. Usually they do, but if you put it in with your ADRs no need to add in about asking for a button when calling. You can still get one no matter what when you are there. The front desk is always ready to give out buttons. :)

I would say to your little ADR situation that you should wait until you get there. Sometimes you will want two ADRs very close together and sometimes you won't. If you think you won't make it or are just too tired then cancel. But if you are on the dining plan, mull it over a bit, but either way I would keep as is. They are very close to each other so you won't be running all over WDW getting to them so I'm sure it won't be as hectic as you think, I'm sure.

:thumbsup2 to your top 3 lists at the parks, they all look pretty good to me. And yeah, 4 ways, totally okay :)

Can't wait to read more about your plans for this trip! :mickeyjum

Brandon wouldn't care if we didn't sit together, he would just talk to whoever he was sitting next to also, but I just am weird with being cramped in with strangers! I'm trying to decide if I should take the window seat and make Brandon sit in the middle and give the stranger the aisle seat, or if I should take the aisle seat, have Brandon in the middle and make the stranger take the window? I always have to get up to pee, I don't want to climb over someone, but at the same time, I like being near the window! :rotfl:

I'm really over thinking this! :sad2: You guys don't do Early Bird check in? We do, because if I wasn't in the A boarding group, I'd have a panic attack, I like being able to decide where we want to sit!

We never used to, but we have added it for the October trip, and I added it on for my trip (in 10 days!) So hopefully, it will make things a little better :thumbsup2

I'm always to nervous to get up to pee, so I sit by the window and hope for a smooth flight. Makes for an uncomfortable trip when you gotta go, though! :rotfl:

I know, tomorrow will be single digits!!!

Single digit dance!!!!:woohoo::cheer2::cool1::woohoo:
Just a little while longer and you'll be in WDW!

Ah, I have zero experience with airplanes and how long they take, so I can't help there.:confused3

Isn't simpledisneythings great? You should find me on FB!

Are you on the Disboard May trip page? If so, I can find you there! (If not I'd have to PM you, because facebook search and I are in a love/hate relationship.)

My favorites change so often, as well. They are all just so unique and great in their own way. It's like trying to decide if ice cream or pretzels are better...you can't even compare the two!:rotfl:

Sad News :(

Hi everyone.

This should be a fun update, it should be my single digit dancing update. However, it's going to be a sad one instead.

A few hours ago, we had to put my adorable little kitty Nina to sleep. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

IMG_0021.jpg

She was pretty old, around 15, but she was always very kitten-like. I have 2 other kitties, but Nina was my cat...she followed me everywhere, always wanted to be with me, so losing her is really, really hard. We noticed she wasn't eating or drinking on Monday, so we brought her to the vet. They said she was very dehydrated and probably had kidney failure or a thyroid problem. So they took blood and sent it out and today we got the results...she had pancreatic cancer. :sad1:

Brandon called me at work to tell me to come home to talk about what we should do. I knew Nina has been in pain for the last few days because she would meow or grumble when you pet her in certain places, and she was probably starving, which of course, isn't pleasant. When we had to put my other cat, Angelica, to sleep a few years ago (who also had cancer) I was very selfish and let her live a few weeks after taking her to the vet, and in the end, she could barely move and was clearly suffering. I didn't want to make the same mistake with Nina, so we decided to just put her down today. She spent the last few hours with me, laying with me on my bed, purring. I like to think the last few hours of her life she was happy and comfortable.

Brandon brought her to the vet alone, because I just could not bring myself to go. I just wanted to hug her and say goodbye to her at home, not in an office. I'm glad he agreed to go alone because he told me a few details of what happened there and let's just say, she didn't make it easy for them. :sad1:

I miss my sweet little girl so much, my heart is broken. Which is why I can't bring myself to single digit dance today. However, I am grateful that I have a trip coming up, and for the DIS, because I'm going to need this place and Disney World in the next few days to help me get over this. I need something to distract me and Disney is the perfect thing to do it. Maybe on Saturday I will feel up to one week dancing. :)

I'm sorry to have such a depressing update, but I just wanted to let you all know what was going on, and I promise my next update will be happier.

Awwww... I'm sorry to hear about that, Jen. It's tough doing the right thing sometimes, isn't it? I send my condolences since I know how tough it is to put down a beloved pet. :sad1: What a way to put a damper on a one digit dance update :sad2: Here's a  to make you feel better. (:

I am so sorry for your loss. Today is my cat Maggie's 13th birthday. She is my "follow me everywhere" cat, and as crazy as it can make me to always have her underfoot (or practically on top of me when we sleep), I know I'll be devastated when she's no longer with us. We lost our cat, Mushu, four years ago very suddenly to diabetes. My DS19 has autism, and we got Mushu when he was 6 weeks old and DS was only 5. He was my son's best and ONLY friend for nearly 10 years. When we found out that he was sick, we managed his care with daily injections and he seemed to be doing well, but then took a sudden turn for the worse. The vet was able to come to our house to put him to sleep. It was a very difficult day for our whole family, but we were lucky to have him in our lives. Funny thing is, I don't even consider myself a "cat person" but I can't begin to tell you how greatly his loss afftected our family.

Again, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope you can take a little comfort in knowing that she won't be in pain anymore.

I am so, so sorry for your loss....no words can ease the pain...I hope time will....I'm really sorry about your kitty....

Jen, I am so sorry to hear about Nina. As much as it hurts us, making that decision when it is time is the best thing we can offer.

Jen, I'm so sorry about Nina. Pets are important members of the family. I wish you peace and comfort as you deal with this loss.

Dee

Jen, I am so so sorry to hear that. It seems like you and Nina had a very special relationship, and losing a pet is never easy. I'm glad you got to say a nice goodbye at home, and no matter how hard the decision, it seems it was the right one. I bet she's very happy in Heaven right now. (It may sound weird but I do believe animals go to Heaven! :littleangel:) I understand that you don't feel like dancing today but I do hope that Disney will help you through this time! I hope you're able to have a peaceful night.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about Nina. :sad1: I know that nothing will make it stop hurting right now but just know we all are here for you and support you. It's the hardest decision pet owners have to make. I am sure she's watching over you and wishing you some comfort too. :littleangel:

I can only imagine how you are feeling right now. I teared up when I was reading your post b/c I know how much pets touch our lives. We have two cats and I love them so much. (So much so that when Greg was making a comedic reference to one of them on our flight to Orlando, I started to cry b/c I missed them so much.) Do something in honor of your precious kitty. Make a photo collage or go to Things Remembered and get a special frame engraved. Pretty soon all that sadness will be filled with all of the wonderful memories of her. Sending you lots of hugs tonight!!!

Oh Jen - your post left me in tears because I can only imagine how terrible you feel. My friend P just had to put her dog down on Monday. He also had cancer and started to get sick while we were in Williamsburg this weekend. I just stopped by to see her and her DH today and they are both still so, so sad. I am glad your kitty got to spend her last hours by your side. I'm so sorry for your loss.
