Aw thank you! We were really excited over our illuminations seating--I hope we get lucky again in a future trip!

That cake makes me seriously want to consider staying at CR or WL! :cheer2:

It was really yummy, and I was really impressed!! Don't forget you can also dine at any WL or CR restaurant and still get chef brian!

YUM!

That's the truth!

What great memories for you guys of a very special night!

We had a great day, David still talks about some of his birthday memories!

A little off topic, but just wanted to show off some photos of David at his senior prom! I can't believe my brother is graduating high school, it doesn't seem real! But here are some photos I took the other night:

More trip coming soon!

David looks so handsome on his photos! What a pretty dress his date had on - absolutely love that color :lovestruc He definitely takes after his Mom - what a cute pic of the two of them. I'm so excited - my son from California is coming to visit in 2 1/2 weeks and I haven't seen him since Christmas 2008! We are a close family too and his brothers and sister really have missed him. We didn't think we were going to see him until our trip to WDW in late November.

He looks a lot like Mom, I look like my Dad (how did that happen? lol) Thats a long time to be away from your son! I missed my family terribly when I was living in NY so I know how that feels. Have a great time with him! :grouphug:

Lookin' good, David! :cool1:
What are your plans for after high school?

He is going for a Culinary contest this weekend to get a full ride to a Culinary school thats here.

Thanks. Nice Pictures

Thank you!

Last Disney day! We were originally going to sleep in and then go to Downtown Disney for the morning/afternoon, but we were eager to see all we could see so we decided on an Epcot late morning/evening.

We immediately FP Soarin when we got there for EMH later, and than grabbed a FP for Kim Possible. With a little time before our mission, we headed into Innoventions.

We really wanted to do this:

IMG_4014.jpg

But the wait was 45 minutes.

We decided to play the waste management game teaching us all about recycling!! We always have a blast in Innoventions and this was no exception. We named our team "Team Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc." and had a great time :)

Now it was time for our Kim Possible mission so we headed over to England, one of the last remaining countries we've never done.

This one was a lot of fun, you have a cute CM interaction and a free gift! After saving the world again we decided to take a relaxing stroll around Epcot as we decided on a lunch option. We headed into Mexico to go on the much loved boat ride and decided to eat in China.

I like this sparkly one although it didn't come out:

IMG_4046.jpg

Than we got to China, did not like the DDP options and headed to Sunshine Seasons (this was actually a 3 hour tour of us going back and forth through world showcase deciding on what to eat) I felt bad because David wanted to eat at Electric Umbrella but I didn't want a hamburger. He was fine at Seasons though, but we will definitely go to Electric Umbrella in August.

We ended our Epcot day with a ride through Imagination!

And than took a grand exit for a quick relaxing break and than dinner at one of our favorites: Kona! I took the opportunity for photos of my second home:

We took the boat to the Contemporary with plans to ride the monorail. The sun was setting and it was a great boat ride:

When we got into the lobby I was really tempted to see if I could see a room like that guy did yesterday in the WL. We went to Concierge, and explained that for our next trip in August we were deciding between the Contemporary and the Polynesian and would like to see a room if it was possible. They told us it would be no problem and they would go get a CM to help us!! We were so excited! I had never seen the rooms in person before and I was actually going to get to see it!

A wonderful CM came and escorted us up to the 14th floor. We felt like royalty having our own personal CM. She was so nice telling us about the Contemporary and the Polynesian, and that she loves the Polynesian too and you can't go wrong with either. As we exited the elevator, it was just this awesome feeling. Honestly, to this day we still aren't 100% on our Poly decision just because of that tour. As we walked to the room you could see Epcot on the left side, and we both said how cool it would be to picnic outside your door room and watch Illuminations!

We walked in and my first reaction was how big this room was!! I knew there was a difference between the AKL/WL rooms and this but I didn't realize how much free space we would gain! And than I saw it: The balcony. She had brought us to a MK view room! Wow, just wow. I can totally imagine sitting outside watching Wishes, with the music piped in the room. Imagine being in your PJs!! The room was awesome and I was really excited for the chance to see it. Right now we are pretty confident about the Poly for August but CR would be an amazing choice too!

Okay back to dinner. We thanked her profusely and than headed to the monorail for Kona. We got there with a few minutes to spare so we headed to the gift shop, that I practically have memorized because we eat at Kona every time we go to disney haha!

We had a great meal. I have never shied away from the Teriyaki Steak because its great, but I wanted to broaden my horizons so I chose the shrimp and scallops--AMAZING!! I will order this each time from now on!!

(taken with my phone)

IMG_4150.jpg

When dinner was over we walked over to the lobby of the Poly to try and do the same thing as the CR, but the Concierge was low staffed after 5pm and they couldn't. Oh well, they were equally as nice, and even offered us Lei's for our future visit!

Time for Epcot! One thing that was a deciding factor in our Poly stay was the walk to the TTC so thats just what we did. We almost got lost on the way (it was dark at this point) but we found our monorail and headed over! (Grr I cant wait for August!!!!)

Our first attraction was Soarin from our FP earlier! This was perfect, i just love this ride!

Next up we waited in line for test track and it was so hot inside. I think they had the heater on because it was so cold out but it was boiling!

IMG_4156.jpg

IMG_4157.jpg

We walked around enjoying the night time ambiance of Epcot. Do you know why its so dimly lit in the world showcase? It's because Walt wanted you to be able to see the stars!

We exited Epcot around 11:45 but not before Spaceship earth!

We got home, and packed up. We were lucky: We knew we were coming back, but it still hurts :(

Coming up next: Our last Disney moments of the trip.....and the Pre-Trip report starts!!

That's the best way to do it - have another trip in the works!

yes we are very blessed! Thats the way it will be until I return from my October friends only trip at SSR. Than I may cry :rotfl:

How about mid-March next year? We're planning a spring break trip - about the 12th - 16th or 17th, most likely.

How did David's culinary thing go? Do you have pictures?

Great party . I really dream to have this kind of party in the near future . Extremely amazing .

Quite possibly Mid-March 2011! I like it :) I didn't go with him for his Culinary thing but we're still waiting to hear back

Thanks! :) We had a great trip with great memories!

Thanks for reading along with us, I hope you will be sticking around for our August trip!!

It was our last day at Disney but we had a great trip filled with lots of memories! It was sad to leave but we knew we were coming back so it made it a bit easier

We decided on MK for our last day, so we riled everything up, took one more look around our beautiful WL room and checked our bags with luggage services. We took the boat again and made it in time for Rope drop, we decided to be front and center for the show, I snapped some photos while David took video

We headed straight for the Space Mountain FP machine and than over to Fantasyland! We didn't do everything this time, just Pooh and Peter Pan (our two favorites respectively)

One from my favorite:

IMG_4203.jpg

And on line for David's with a CM blowing bubbles:

IMG_4208.jpg

We rounded the corner and wanted to go on to Big thunder mountain, but it was down for technical difficulties and we couldn't get a FP because we had the Space Mountain one…so we turned around ready to head back when I had a great idea! A new first!!

We had never done Tom Sawyer Island before and each time we're there I mention that we should give it a try but we never do (its usually too hot) We were in the mood for exploring! I had read on the DIS about finding the paintbrushes that the CMs hide, and if you turn it in you get a FP for a ride! IT WAS ON!! We were rapidly searching online for tips and tricks while we waited for the raft to arrive. One site mentioned you should ask the CMs if all the paintbrushes were found that way you know if there are any left to search for (he said they weren't all found yet, I think we were one of the first rafts of the day) We kept our voices down on the raft, after all our competition was a mere 6 inches from us, but we were EAGER for the hunt! Ready to search high and low, every nook and cranny, every tree, bush and leaf, every--

Oh there it is.

IMG_4223.jpg

I'm mid sentence about where we should start looking when we step off the boat when I hear david go "Is this it?" as he picks up a paintbrush to the left of the pathway.

"Um…Yeah thats it"

Alright then, doesn't mean there isn't 'splorin to do!

IMG_4221.jpg

We spent a good 20 minutes on the island and I swear, it was like we left Disney. Did I mention my fear of water at Disney with my phone/camera/bag? Good thing theres this CRAZY RICKETY BRIDGE we have to cross to leave!!

IMG_4211.jpg

We had a great time though, we met some Disneymooners and we worked together to cross bridges and hike through the island. I can see why we never did this in August!!

We were so excited about our paintbrush when we left but the boat CM didn't share our enthusiasm. The prize giving CM was a little better though and handed us two BTMR FP! AWESOME! Hopefully it will be up and running so we can use these!!

We passed by Splash and David pouted that the refurbishment would prevent us from riding.

IMG_4225.jpg

I forced David on to the Magic Carpets….

IMG_4228.jpg

We stopped for a Dole Whip and than walked on to the Jungle Cruise!

IMG_4241.jpg

Before going any further we headed on to BTMR lucky for us it was back up and running!!

IMG_4212.jpg

One more ride on Pirates--

IMG_4253.jpg

IMG_4259.jpg

And than headed on to Space Mountain for our last ride of the trip. It went down for about 20 minutes while we were in line, but we didn't give up and were riding it in no time!!

IMG_4266.jpg

We left the MK and said goodbye to our beloved WL, my home, for 7 months!! While this was an impromptu birthday celebration we knew we would be back for our huge August trip, one that we had been looking forward to literally for almost a year (we started planning it in May 2009) and I can't wait to share all the messy details about that trip. Our itinerary is made, our ADRs are made, and we have a lot more to do in the next 4 months!! I hope you guys will plan along with us and join us for another ride in August!

IMG_4263.jpg

Great job in finding a paint brush! I didn't know you actually get something in return for finding one other than maybe a certificate. That's cool!

I hate to see your journey end but look forward to your August TR!
