Exercise: 20 minutes on the treadmill

I am finally getting caught up on your journal! Sorry I've been MIA for so long, I have been neglecting all my WISH buddies. Now that I am back, I promise I'll do better!

I loved that last post where you finally focused on all the awesome things you have accomplished this year!!! :thumbsup2 You have done awesome and it is about time you take credit for it! I think after all the holiday madness is over, you will be able to focus full-time on eating right and exercising consistently. That is so cool that you got that Disney $$!!! You guys are going to have so much, WELL DESERVED fun!!!

Don't stress about the Dining Plan. Think of it as a sunk cost. You already paid for it, and if you don't use it, you won't be wasting any money! I think even if you eat half of your credits you will still be ahead in the $$ department, so don't feel like you have to eat everything! It's hard to "waste" food, but once you learn to stop eating when you are full, your weightloss journey will be so much easier! I'm still working on that, but I think I've gotten better...

PS, you are kicking my butt on the exercise challenge - I still have 0 minutes... :rolleyes1

HI Amy
Well done on losing 33lb's this year that is awesome :cheer2: :cheer2:
& we still have a few weeks of the year left :thumbsup2
That was a lovely gesture from your brother, let us know what you buy with it :sunny:
How did the meal go? Hope you had a lovely time :goodvibes

I will never drink again and queso will never been seen or heard from in this house again!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I'm glad the party was fun, until well, ya know, fortysomethings really aren't twentysomethings. The "older and wiser" part of being in our 40's is that we won't go out and do the same thing the next weekend. :rotfl2:

You have a good plan for WDW and enjoy your GC from your brother. What a nice surpise and definitely well deserved.

I'm with you on not loising more than a couple of pounds since June, but at least we have maintained and not gained weight in the second half of the year. I have a new challenge for you - Lose 40 lbs in your 40th year. Starting weight is on your birthday. You in? I know you can do it. Look how much you have accomplished this year. Have a great week and don't get too stressed getting ready for your trip!

Thanks everyone! The last couple of days have been rough, dd, dh and I are all sick. Not the best timing in the world but we are managing. I kept dd home again from school today, I really hope she can go tomorrow, she can't get too far behind or she'll never catch up. I have been getting stuff done but! not exercising since Saturday. I am going to be peeved if I miss challnge again this month. Of course I should be getting plenty of activity in at WDW!

Food is strange, I haven't been that hungry but haven't been eating that great either. I can't even remember enough to post what I have been eating. My goal is to have a salad tonight and do an exerecise DVD, we'll see!

Anna: I mean what I say about that queso!

Amy: I have a feeling you are catching up with my exercise totals since I haven't worked out since Saturday! I am trying to be more positive, since I have never been thin and never felt good about myself, I haven't had much practice!

Tracey, I will probably buy a snowdome to add to my collection with the gift card my brother gave me.

I need to get caught up with you, send good thoughts that we get rid of this crud before our trip!

Bummer that you are sick! But it's better to get it out of your system before you go on vacation, right?? Here is some :wizard: :wizard: for everyone to get better.

I bet you will get tons of walking done in WDW. I'm so jealous!!!

Don't worry about the eating, there will be plenty of time to get on track with that after the holidays. Plus, think of all the calories you will be burning chasing Daisy around! :teeth:

Hi Amy
Hope you are all feeling better soon :)
When do you leave for WDW?

Thanks Tracey and Amy. I am feeling better as is dh and dd. DD went back to school today. I got hardly anything done around here. I did go over to my mom's, take her to lunch and for a ride to get her out of the house. Then I came back to her house and cleaned it so it would be nice for when my brother is here this weekend. But mine is a wreck! And then my van is acting up again, just days after I had over $700 done on it. So back it went, so tomorrow I have no car! But I am planning on pulling a late night tonight to get the packing and laundry done then cleaning tomorrow. Christmas is done, all shopped, wrapped, cooked and I even got my table set for Christmas dinner. Too bad I am not packed yet! I got in 45 minutes on the treadmill today so I was happy about that. I am hoping to do 60 tomorrow.

Food today:

Breakfast: Atkins Shake
Lunch: 1/2 roast beef sandwich, a few fries, diet coke
Dinner: grilled chicken sandwich w/ lettuce and tomato, small order of tater tots, diet dr. pepper.
Water: 80 oz.
Exercise: 45 minutes
I have been really pathetic on my veggies lately. I am hoping to have a salad for lunch tomorrow, I have a salad bag that needs to be eaten up anyway. I ate out twice today and could have easily blown it but held my own. I am so ready to go to WDW and then ready to come home and pick up Daisy! And believe it or not, I am ready for January and to really hit things hard, with no trips or company planned for six months. I feel really good that I can start anew and make some serious progress in 2007.

Amy: I have just let the anxiety go about the food at WDW. I already know I'll put on at least five pounds between that and Christmas. But the walking at WDW should help keep me from gaining more than that. My goal for January is to lose what I gain in December plus five more. The less I gain, the more likely I am to make my goal! And your pixie dust found me, I am so much better today.

Tracey: I leave tomorrow! :cool1: ! Over eight months in the making and its finally here. And the good news is that on Sunday its going to be snowing and 30 degrees here at home but I"ll be in Florida!!!!

WISH Friends, I will see you when I get back from WDW. I hope all of you have a great rest of this week and great next week. I'll "see" you all when I come home! :woohoo: :sunny:

Have a great trip!!!! We'll miss you while you are gone. And I fully expect to see some Daisy pix when you finally get her!!!

I am glad you are all feeling better. I am super impressed with how organized you are to have everything done for Christmas :worship: and you found time to exercise too! :cheer2: Hopefully, the packing will go quickly - just throw in some shorts and tshirts and your good to go, right? :rotfl2:

Have an absolutely fantastic trip!!

I'll be right there with you come the first of January too. :cool1:

Way to go with the organising!!!!!
Sorry i missed you before you left but have a fantastic time at wdw - as if you couldnt!!!!

Sorry I missed you! I hope you're having a wonderful time. I wonder what you're doing right now......Soarin' over California?.......Wishin' with Mickey?....eating a dole whip? Oh the possibilities! ;)

Hi Amy, :wave2:

I hope you're having a great time in WDW! :Pinkbounc We had a great time on our trip and I can't wait until you get back so we can compare notes. :goodvibes

Have a magical vacation! :wizard:

By the way..... have you noticed a shortage in Mickey bars? :rotfl: My girls tried their best! ::yes::

Let's see, Amy is probaby sitting poolside now with an umbrella drink in hand watching the child play happily in the water :beach: .... or maybe Amy is watching a parade eating a mickey bar :mickeybar ... or ... whatever you are doing, I'm sure it's definitely better than being in CO right now :cold: !

Just bumping you up the page. I'm sure you are having a great time :thumbsup2

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas AND Happy Birthday, Amy!!! Bummer, the smilies aren't working I had a whole bunch of them I wanted to put in!!!!

I hope you had a great trip, can't wait to hear all about it. I hope you weren't involved with all the airport closure fiasco (I can't remember when you were coming back!).

By the time you read this you will have a new addition to the family! My friend just got a soft-coated wheaten terrier and it is the calmest, quietest puppy I've ever seen. Definitely NOT a rambunctious beagle!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Amy!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday! :)

How was WDW? I am looking forward to hearing about your trip! :)

Have a great week!

Hey everybody, I am back! We made it back fine, had Frontier not cancelled that original flight, I'd probably still be in Orlando. But since we got bumped to return a day later our flight was able to get in. I have never seen an aiport look like DIA did that morning we returned, like something in a third world country. We were sooo lucky! And aunt and cousin arrived fine as well. Now we are gearing up for yet another storm that is approaching and will hit tomorrow. I miss Florida!!! We had a great time but I am happy to be home sort of. We did get our new little beagle puppy Daisy. Amy, she is so darn cute and sweet. I can't believe how much I already love her. But strangely it makes me miss Ben even more. She has definitely breathed some new life into the family. My sister went and got her for me since she feared the storm would delay us getting in and she wanted the kids to have her for Christmas. I thought that was so sweet of her to make the trip. She ended up buying Daisy's brother for my nephew so now Daisy can still see one of her siblings. Right now we are back to baby gates, late night potty runs and lots of chewing up things!

Okay, the Disney Dining Plan is a Diet Nightmare! Way too much food, even piggy me couldn't eat it all. We actually used almost all of our snack credits to buy water bottles we didn't have room for snacks. It was great to try out some new places but I felt like we spent half our time going from one ADR to the next. We came home with 5 sandwiches, Rice Krispy treats and chip bags from the grab n go section at the CBR food court. And most of that got thrown out! My jeans are beyond tight (TOM also made an appearance yesterday) so I am ready to hit this thing hard very soon. Since I got home its been holiday dinners, eating out and too much food laying around. Tomorrow aunt and cousin go home (if they can get out and I think they will) and as soon as they leave every cookie and all other leftovers are down the disposal! I did manage to get in 600 minutes of exercise. I probably could have counted more. Several days I walked the World Showcase for exercise three complete times. Plus all the other running around and some walks around the lake at CBR. So that was good. I only had a four drinks total so that was good. I only one Mickey Bar (Hey Tracy, what happened you left some for me!) so that was good. But the heavy meals and bacon cheeseburgers at the food court took their toll! And my walking route here at home is covered in 24 inches of snow with another 12 coming. So thank goodness I have the treadmill!

I am hoping to undo what I have done and go back to WW next Wednesday regardless. I am really ready to make this happen and get the rest of this off. I have 6 months before we go to California for two weeks and I would love to lose 30 pounds by then. I seriously think I am up 10 pounds right now but know a lot of that is water.

I will be home all day tomorrow getting caught up with life and will catch up with all of your journals. But wanted to come and update my own and my exercise minutes tonight. Before I go out to dinner and eat again! Thanks so much for visiting me while I was gone.

Anna: I did watch the kiddos swim and did have a few rum and diets while I did so!

Amy, I will post Daisy pics very soon!

Tracy, can't wait to hear about your trip, I hope you had the same great weather we did.

CJK: I missed Soarin! How oh how did that happen? Epcot was always packed and we spent more time than usual in the World Showcase. But I will make up for that when I go to Disneyland this summer and Soar in California for real!

Tracey: I thought I was organized but of course when I got home there was lots to do like dig out my house from under 30 inches of stupid snow. What a nightmare to leave palm trees for that! How's your bottom?

Thanks again guys, I missed you all and hope everyone is having a great time over the holidays. Lets make all of our resolutions a reality in 2007!

Lets make all of our resolutions a reality in 2007!

I'm with you on that one WISH sis! :) Welcome Back! I'm so glad to hear that you had a great time in WDW! We will definitely have to compare notes because I don't think I am going to get around to writing a trip report. ;)

I'm glad to hear that your new puppy is home! :) That was so nice of your sister to go and get her for you.

I hear ya about the eating thing..... Since we have gotten back from WDW, we have made a total of 3 meals at home and have eaten the rest out. I'm scared to jump on the scale. :(

I hope you have a great evening! So glad you're back.... I missed ya!

OMG another blizzard today and tomorrow and another one for Saturday into Sunday. I feel like I am in Alaska or upstate New York! Managed to get to the store before the roads got too bad. I bought some lowfat options but also got some cheetos which I proceeded to chow down on! I did better with food today but still need to way, way better. No exercise. Just gotta get back into the swing of things which is not easy to do.

Welcome home Amy :)
Glad you had a great trip!
Wow the snow sounds bad, where do you live????
Daisy sounds sooo cute, cant wait to see some pics (hint hint :))
