Tell Amy I was afraid of c-sections, too. My son was an emergency c-section after a couple of days of labor. Without a c-section I have no doubt my baby and I would have died. The doctor told me later that I wasn't dialating due to the fact that the baby couldn't press on my cervix.
Four years later, I ended up having another c-section with my daughter. Trust me, I would much prefer a c-section to two days of labor! I wouldn't have planned a second child if I didn't think I had that option, since I'd had complications the first time. If I planned to have another child (which I don't), I wouldn't hesitate to choose a c-section again. Partly because my doctor doesn't think I could deliver naturally but also because it is less stressful for my children due to the way I'm made.
To me, the videos they show you are scary, but the real thing is very exciting. The recovery is more difficult, but you'll have that precious baby girl to make that easier!
