To All,
I once again thank you for your responses! They bring me great joy. I just got off the phone with Amy who tells me yet another pile of flowers just showed up from a "stranger." So to all you strangers, stop that! Save your money for Disney! But I seriously thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I've taken all your suggestions into account and I'm really turning this weekend into a Disney affair. Our heaviest activity was to be this weekend, and I'm trying to mirror our PS's with the weekend menu. I mean what they heck: they won't let her do anything else, I might as well feed the woman. My hobby is cooking, so that's one new chore I won't have to take on. But starting Friday night, I learn to do laundry.
I bought two metal pails at
Walmart on lunch break. The HDDR party Saturday should be a hoot. Amy's from upstate NY near Watertown. Her father does a lot of fishing at Sackett's Harbor, so we've obviously been following Funny Cide's run for the triple crown. We'll watch the Belmont while we eat, then break into Blazing Saddles and a suprise second feature, the Apple Dumpling Gang. Ok, it's not Disney, but we'll be having a rip snorting good time. I plan on telling several corny jokes. And I have a great recipe for canadian cheese soup (if anyone wants it, you don't know what you're missing). We'll have that and some prime filets on Sunday to replace our PS at La Cellier. As you can see, your encouragement has blossomed the flowers in my brain. I've got a friend down in Altoona today who's going to the DS down there and trying to find me a Mickey Waffle Iron. By the time this weekend is over, she'll think she's been to Disney.
I'll keep updating. I need the high that comes from people who care. Each day seems a little excruciating to get through, but that's life. I guess the best thing I can do for Amy is work. Healthcare is expensive. So not working is out of the question. I've worked my butt off for several years to build up a business. I want to keep that going. Just might have a Harvard education to fund in eighteen years
Bless you all!
