Well since we have officially decided upon a date, I guess it's time to start planning! But first, a little history...
We are not a "traditional" couple. I was married previously and have two gorgeous daughters - Olivia, age 6 and Sophia, age 4. It was an abusive marriage and I was divorced 3 1/2 years ago. Dan, the incredible man that he is, took on a "damaged" woman and two young children, and taught her to love and trust again. November 2008, we welcomed a son, Griffin.
So, of course we heard "when are you guys going to get married" many many times, but I wanted to finish my degree first. And besides, I would say, Dan hadn't asked me yet!
We took a trip to Disney with the kids in May 2009 and again this past January. You know that week were it sleeted and everything froze? Yeah, we were there that week! I knew a ring was coming soon because we picked it out together. Christmas came and went, and no ring, so I figured it would come in Disney. Well, several times I thought "yup, this is it," but nope, it wasn't!
Friday our family wore matching shirts I made to MK. Our baby boy got his first haircut. We asked a photopass photographer to take our family's picture on Main St. Then Dan said he wanted a pic with just us. That's when he turned, got down on one knee in the middle of Main St., in front of the castle, and asked me to marry him! He told the photographer ahead of time what he wa going to do and she got all excited and snapped away!
Ok, let me see if I can post the pics...
So we're looking at doing an Escape Wedding on October 31, 2011, so we've got some time to plan. I am an OCD planner when we go to WDW, so I will be scouring everyone's posts and ideas and will shamelessly steal my favorite
