We woke up to another lovely day in Florida, but this was our last day. We packed up our bags and headed to the food court for some breakfast. After eating, we checked our luggage with luggage services and checked out. We grabbed a bus for the Magic Kingdom. We arrived and checked out all of the characters in Town Square. There was Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Cruella DeVille, Daisy Duck, characters from Robin Hood and Princess Aurora. Princess Aurora? We had never seen her before. We stood in line for a quick picture with her. There was a little girl dressed just like Aurora and she ran up to her and Princess Aurora bent down to hug and kiss her. I would have sworn I was watching a Disney commercial....a true magical moment.
After a few photos we walked to Frontierland and grabbed a fastpass for Splash Montain. We checked the wait time for BTMRR and it was only a 20 minute wait, so we decided to ride it. We were able to ride it twice before our fastpass time rolled around. We rode Splash Mountain....LOVED IT! We had a very friendly family who rode with us and we all enjoyed it! We decided to check out if there was anything new in the Briar Patch and I found a very cute Minnie shirt and short set, but decided to have some self control.
We were walking out of the Briar Patch when it started to rain. We ran over the bridge and decided to duck into Pecos Bill's and have some lunch. Amy had a cheesburger and I had the chili. It was still raining when we left....we ran through the raindrops! There was no wait for the Haunted Mansion, so we ran in there and enjoyed our spooky ride. The rain had almost stopped by the time we exited the Haunted Mansion. We walked by the tip board on Main Street and saw there was only a 20 minute wait for Space Mountain, so we headed that way. We grabbed fastpasses for Space Mountain and then got in the stand-by line. We rode it once and then rode the TTA once while we waited for our fastpass time. We rode Space Mountain for the second time. As we were leaving Tomorrowland we decided to check the wait time for Buzz Lightyear. It was a 35 mintue wait so, we decided not to do it. We both enjoy Buzz Lightyear, but not enough to wait in a 35 mintue line. Next, we strolled through Adventureland and had photos taken with Timon and Rafiki. Grabbed one last voyage on PoC. PoC is always our first and last ride at WDW! After our voyage, we walked down MainStreet and did a little last minute shopping in the Emporium and the Candy Store. We said our good-byes to the Magic Kingdom and walked to the bus stop.
We arrived back at the Pop Century just in time to grab our luggage and board the Mears Shuttle to the airport. Our flight back to Chicago was fine...we were very tired and slept throught it. We arrived back home safe and sound.....counting the days until October!
