Congrats on planning your PS trip! It really is such a blast you are going to have so much fun! I'm sure it will work out great. My wedding consultant and planner were amazing on getting me the exact time I wanted because I had my hair and make-up trial that day as well as my engagement photos that weekend so I was super worried but they worked around it which was fantastic!

Glad to hear it wasn't an issue for you getting the day and time you needed, that makes me feel better! That is the only week we can go because we are college students so we have to wait till the semester is over, and we can't go after the 1st of the year because DF will already need three weeks off in 2011 which he will be lucky if he gets so we can't push for four!

Congrats on booking your planning session! I also think that is too good a deal to pass up and you should be able to get a session during the time that you will be there - you still have a few months so I would hope they could fit you in! I have stayed at Pop and we enjoyed it, despite it being a value, it has a real fun Disney feel to it, which I love.

Glad you liked the pop! We stayed at the All star sports and movies before and loved them both! We don't spend that much time at the hotel anyway when in Disney so it works out well with the Value resorts being so reasonable.

Our STD's are being mailed out this week, and I'm happy to report that they allowed us to put the website that I spent HOURS creating (before I knew they made one for you) on the STD's without any problem! We also got our contract back in the mail this Tuesday and our vouchers for our annual passes! I'm so excited to start using them!

I'm starting to figure everything out for the reception tables and how I want them decorated. This is what I am thinking right now:

Tables: White table cloths
Periwinkle Napkins with Thank you notes tucked into them
Glass coach candle favors:

Centerpieces: I am thinking these, I think they will go with the theme of the tables well:

Tables signs: I am making these, I am having them be Disney princesses and their men! Cinderella and Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip, Ariel and Prince Eric, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Beauty and the Beast. Here is a picture of one I made for practice:

Chairs: White chair covers with periwinkle bows and possibly silver ribbon

Place Cards: I like these:

I originally wanted a Cinderella theme when I first started looking at DFTW, but then when I saw how much the coach cost, and chose ADH as my reception venue I decided against it. But then I chose my colors, my cake, the favors, and they were all Cinderellaish! So I guess that is going to be the general theme. I hope it looks ok in ADH.

I have finally officially decided who I am asking to be in the bridal party, now all I have to do is ask them! I made cards and got each girl a small gift, and did the same for the flower girls and ring bearer. I will post pictures of everything when I get home tonight. I am going to give the girls the gifts individually as soon as I see them. DF still hasn't decided on who all he is asking yet, but I'm not too concerned as I don't care if we end up with an uneven number.

I noticed your going on your PS trip around christmas!! How exciting!! I hope that I will be able to schedule mine around then also, just so I have another excuse to drive 30 minutes to Disney and actually get to stay in the hotel

Since we only stay at Disney around christmas time, any other time we just go for the day and go home since it's not far. But this gets me excited that we can plan it a little longer then 2 nights to do our PS in DEcC 2011 in that same trip!!!

I can't wait to read more!! Are you having an evening wedding?

I am sooo excited to go around Christmas time. I have never been and I LOVE everything Christmas!

Yes, we are having an evening wedding. Our ceremony is at 5pm, and reception to follow at ADH. We may do a cocktail hour in between somewhere else, but I have to wait and see how many guests will be coming to see if it's in the budget. Otherwise we will just have the cocktail hour at ADH.

Even though I really didn't want a huge bridal party, I finally decided that it will be better to just ask everyone I know wants to be asked, and avoid the drama of hurt feelings. I felt like since all these girls are traveling so far and spending a lot of money for the wedding, I owe it to them to ask them.

My MOH will be my sister, Jenn. We are really, really close. DF and her DH are also very very close, and he will be one of DF's two best men.
Bridesmaids:
My two DF's sisters, Michelle and Nicole.
DF's "step-sister" Kayla. (She's technically DF's dad's girlfriends daughter but they have been dating for something like 15 years, so basically she's his stepsister)
DF's sister in law Carrie. She is married to DF's brother who will be his other best man.
My two friends, Allison and Alyssa.

So, I ended up with 7 bridesmaids, which I know is a lot, but I just really felt like I couldn't not ask any of them.

I decided I wanted to make them all cards and get them a little gift to ask them. Many of them I have already sort of asked, but not officially, and some of them I haven't, so I thought this would be a good way to make it all official. Here are some pictures of the cards and gifts I made:

I see them all pretty frequently, so I plan on giving them their gifts and asking them whenever I see them, no big thing. Hopefully they all say yes!

We also are going to "hopefully" have two flower girls and one ring bearer. I also got them little gifts and made them cards. Our flower girls are going to be DF's niece, Peyton, who is his brother's daughter, and my cousin, Julia. Peyton will be 4 for the wedding, and Julia will be 5. Our ring bearer will be DF's nephew, Damian, who is Peyton's brother. He will be 7. Damian and Peyton were both in their parents wedding last October so they already have practice! I'm super excited to ask everyone and start looking at dresses for the girls. The two flower girls are going to dress up like their favorite Disney princess, and I am going to send them to the Bippity Boppity Boutique the morning of the wedding to all glammed up!

Hi Amy! I love all your plans! The Cinderella inspired decor is going to be just beautiful! Your gifts to your bridesmaids are very cute and sweet, Im sure they will all love them! I am running into the same issue with how many bridesmaids to have...my fiance has 9 and I only have 6 so am debating adding two more. Its tough when you dont want to hurt anyones feelings! Anyways, I cant wait to read more of your plans and congrats on getting your planner! I have read great things about Ken!

Everything looks so good, Amy! I LOVE the centerpieces you're thinking about. I think the cards you made for your bridesmaids are so adorable! I dont think it matters how many people you have in your bridal party - all that matters is that YOU want them. We have an uneven number (1 extra bridesmaid) but whatever...I wouldn't want to not include someone just because of numbers. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks girls! I started working on our monogram last night, and here is what I came up with (let me know what you think):

I also just placed an order for a bunch of stuff for the wedding (flower girl and ring bearer gifts, a bunch of accessories for me, and a personalized scroll/holder for our wedding certificate). I will deff. post pictures when it all comes in.

I just got caught up! i love all the Cinderella stuff. The exact same thing happened to me. I love Cinderella but tried to make it more about disney love in general...Then it went to storybook theme...and now its looking more and more Cinderellaish lol. But I guess its a good thing when your true personality can shine

I actually interviewed with Ken Weaver, he's such a nice guy! I'm sure you will love him!

And I am doing the coaches too! At first I was going to do them with no floral but recentely just added it back in ha, I'm very excited about them!

I've spent the last hour or two going through the C-D I got in the mail for the music at the wedding pavilion. I have pretty much decided on what songs I will be using, I just have to talk to DF and make sure he is fine with it (Although I'm pretty sure he won't really care!) I'm not sure exactly how it all works as far as how many songs to pick, so I picked five songs to be played while guests are arriving/waiting, and the the processional for the bridesmaids and myself, and then the recessional. If anyone can give me a little more detail about how Disney works this out it would be very helpful! So here are the choices:

Processional of the bridesmaids: The Wedding March (#24 on the C-D)

Processional of the bride: Instrumental version of Can You Fell the Love Tonight (#13 on the C-D)

Recessional: When You Wish Upon A Star (#18 on the C-D)

Songs to be played before processional: Instrumental versions of A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes(#14), and A Whole New World(#15), then #4, #7, and #12, which I'm not sure what the titles are, so if anyone knows that would be great!

I'm a little iffy on Can You Feel the Love Tonight because that is also going to be our first dance song, but the Instrumental version is completely different from the Elton John version we are dancing to, and I just love the instrumental version so much. What do you think about this?

I dont know if this will help but I just found out from my planner that we can arrange to hear the organist play when we go for our planning session. I'm excited about that since music is so important to me and I want to make the right choices. Maybe you could arrange somthing for your planning session and make final decisions based on how the songs sound?

I also got a bunch of glow sticks for the DP, I got 2 wands for the flower girls, 14 necklaces, and 30 bracelets, hopefully this will be enough.

And I got little bags for rose petals (from the $ store!) I am going to do a staged exit with guests tossing rose petals, so I plan on filling all the little bags and then having the ring bearer and DF's nephews distribute them to guests and they walk out of the ceremony.

My rehearsal dinner dress (I think)

I bought this dress the other day to wear for the Rehearsal, but then I saw an Alfred Angelo little white dress in a bridal magazine that I LOVE! So I might end up getting that instead depending on the price. If I do I am going to wear this dress for the engagement shoot instead.
