Hey guys!

As a surprise for my boyfriend, I want to take him to the LA Clippers v Orlando Magic game on 11/6. However, I want to get tickets in the Clippers end as he's a Clippers fan.

Does anyone know how I go about buying these tickets online or where I would get them from? Also, will they sell Clippers merch even though it's a Magic home game?

Sorry for all the daft questions, we are travelling from the UK and know nothing about how NBA games work - it seems so different to football etc in the UK!

We purchased our Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors tickets via phone by calling the Orlando Magic box office. They gave us a special deal as Canadian residents.....perhaps they would give you a similar offer :thumbsup2 .

I don't remember them having much Toronto merchandise on game day....but NBA City at CityWalk (assuming you are going to Universal on your trip) will have exactly what you are looking for.

Thanks Gina, you've been so helpful to me on numerous threads!

I'll give them a call but it will be so expensive from the UK! I shall be sure to mention we are travelling from the UK and see if that gets us a better deal. Did you find the atmosphere was a good being in the 'away' section? My boyfriend likes the Clippers better but would be excited to be in either end and take in a live game for the first time ever!

We didn't find that there was an "away" section......fans from both teams were interspersed through the entire seating area. As Raptor fans, we were welcomed by the Magic fans and staff :thumbsup2 and didn't feel out of place at all. I think they are very much accustomed to having fans of the opposition in their facility, with Orlando being such a popular vacation destination for tourists ::yes:: .

Another place to try is Visit Orlando. They often have discounted rates for Magic games as well. You can email them rather than call them (saving you some $$) by access their page here:

http://www.visitorlando.com/contact/

They might also be able to give you a toll-free number or email address for the Orlando Magic box office, which could save you some long distance fees.

Have fun!!

Save your phone calls for now.

Single game tickets have not even gone on sale yet. They usually put the first half of the season on sale somewhere around October 1st.
Any tickets you see online now are just season ticketholders selling their tickets (often at inflated prices), but they do not actually have them in hand yet. They just know what their seats will be since they have season tickets.

The Clippers game will have inflated prices because that is one of the "premium" games and the Magic price their games according to the quality of the opponent. That is part of the reason why they sell the Raptors game at a discount. The Raptors are not a highly desired opponent so there is a lot of ticket availability and they do a lot of discounting.

As others have said, there is no "visitor" seating area. There will be quite a few Clippers fans there, but they will be scattered through the arena.
Also there is no visitor team apparel sold at the Amway Center.

Hello!

I echo what the previous posters have said. No away "side" and you wont see droves of Clippers fans but you will see a good amount throughout the arena. Also check NBA City for Clippers merch....they have plenty of stuff.

When I worked in Orlando I partnered with Haley on the Tourism team with the Magic. Details for tourists here: http://www.nba.com/magic/tickets/visitingorlando.html

Enjoy!! You will love the arena!
