Wondering if anyone has experience with the long distance coach seats compared to the roomettes? We are planning on going to Disney next year with 4 adults. I happened to see a video of the coach seats on the long distance train and they do look pretty roomy. I was wondering how the roomettes were with 2 adults in each. Are the seats as comfortable as the coach seats or do you feel more boxed in?
One plus is the privacy but I was also interested in the comfort level.

A few readers of this post but no replies yet. :confused3

No question. The roomette. You will love the privacy, the sheets and blankets, your own toilet and sink. The roomette. Go for it.

I have traveled this route on Amtrak close to 100 times. The roomette. :thumbsup2

And the sooner you book, the lower the price. The roomette. ::yes::

I see you definitely recommend the roomette. ;)
Is it more comfortable than the coach seats? My son is about 6'2" and will be sharing it with his girlfriend.
My daughter and I will be in another one. I just wanted to make sure he will be comfortable with his long legs.

My SIL is 6'4" and had a tough time in a roomette with his legs. The bedroom is larger and would be a good option for your son, but it is more expensive than the roomette. I love taking the train, but for me, riding coach is difficult.

Do you happen to know if you could have the seats in the roomette made into the bed for the trip? That way a person could sit on the bed with their legs stretched out.

The beds can be made up anytime you want, but they aren't really comfortable for sitting. For the lower bed, the seat back becomes part of the bed, so there isn't really any back support.

The upper bed is mainly for sleeping. There is some headroom, but not much.
