Does anyone know what the ammenities will be like at the tree house villas? Where will you get buses, food, refill mugs, etc?? How far is it from the SSR? Will you need a car to get around well?? Is there a pool?

Well I hope they get their own busses. I think the SSR bus system is taxed to the maximum already.

Years ago when the Disney Intitute was where SSR is now we used to share the buses with the Treehouses.

Its was always an adventure as the road and turn around for the treehouses was very NARROW. The bus drivers were very skilled.

There will be buses and also a boat dock for the DD boat. There will also be a pool. I'd be very surprised if there were any sort of dining option in the THV area. This is not a separate resort - it's about 100 yards to the Grandstand area (across the golf course) and about 400 yards from THV to the LBV Clubhouse (across the canal and along the paved walkway). In the past, when the Treehouses were a part of the Disney Village Resort - guests staying there could rent gof carts to get back-and-forth to the main pool and clubhouse. I don't think they offered that when the resort was the DI and doubt it will be available in the latest reincarnation, but anything's possible. :)

anyone know the layout of the area? Just the treehouse villa layout and then the layout of THV with SSR?

Here is a satellite view of the area. The Treehouse area is in the center, OKW is to the left and SSR is to the right. You can use the + and - tool to zoom in and out. You can also try the "Bird's Eye" feature.

If there's a problem with the SSR buses, it has more to do with the frequency of service than adding additional stops.

The buses that hit the All Star resorts and even the BW/Dolphin/Swan loop service more guest rooms than SSR. Including the Treehouses in the SSR loop shouldn't add more than 2-3 minutes to transportation time and the rider level shouldn't be much higher with only 60 villas.

In fact, I would guess that a lot of people staying at the treehouses will have their own transportation since they are so remote to begin with.

When you look at the THV map, the 10 or so villas at the end of the resort are no further of a walk to AP then the furthest building at the Grand Stand.
