Amex points

Does else do amex points ? I have a good # of them and they are really going to help for my trip in Aug. 2002.

I do! In fact I just ordered another Breakfast certificate for our January trip. And, hopefully, after the next payment clears I'll be able to get 3 more!!! Waa, hoo!

Use the website and go into "view points," then "see awards." They have a Disney section. Golf vacations, passes and breakfast certificates. Breakfast certificates as in character breakfasts. We used one for our trip this past February and will have one for each adult for our trip in January. I don't think it's as good a value to use them for the kids' meals.

I love buying on line though MyPoints with my American Express--it's like getting double points!!!

This sounds interesting to me. Do all Amex cards give these points or only a certain type?

Not all of the cards do the points I have a gold reward card like all Amex cards there is a yearly fee. I don't think that the breakfast deal sounds good for the kids either. I have never found anyone who has used them do you get a list of places that you can use them at if so how can I get a list . I have been saving my points since Feb. of 2000 the last time we went I save cash throughout the year for christmas charge amex and the pay it with the cash, my husband travel for biz some and he charges that. Anyways, we are goig in Aug. 2002 right now I have enough points to get 2 6 day adult hoppers and one 6 day child hopper the ticket I'm getting with marriott points.

Guess I'd better check on my AMEX points. I have the AMEX Blue card, which has no fee but does give points. I'm just starting fresh to work towards my next trip, so the more I can get, the sooner I get to go!
One question Do the breakfast certificates have an expiration on them?

I would like to know more about the breakfast cirt. as well when you get the bill do you just say you want to use them for the adult meals and not the kids? I wish they had points for nites only at some of the resorts. I have enough points to stay at a deluxe with tickets for three nites for two adults but to add the kids the $'s are way out there. ( They say everyone in the same room must be on the same package.) The amex points are really helpful.

perfectmatch: The breakfast certificates do have an experation. I was a bit upset to have just ordered 4 and the experation was for March 2002. It is okay because our trip is in January, but the next time I call to talk to someone this will be a complaint.

It took about 3 weeks for the certificates to come rather than the 4 - 6 week time frame listed on the screen.

leahmac: We told the CM/waitress that we had a certificate and that we wanted to use it for one of our adult meals. She said, "Of course." The bill never showed the breakfast that the certificate paid. But don't forget to tip on the unrung breakfast.

Also, we have a gold and a blue Amex and both ofter rewards, but I only pay for it on the gold card. Once you have one card, you can add any number of elegible cards. (I need to add my DH's corparate card.)

Thanks for the info eller. I have always wondered how they would work. I love the points deal the only bad thing is you can't transfer points from anywhere else to add to the amex points. ( but you can transfer them to alot of places)
