I just found this (on my Blue Amex preferred account--I never get good offers on my Costco Amex account). It's only $5 off of $15, but I know I'll spend $15 in Walmart sometime soon.

I have that offer on my SkyMiles Amex, but it's Walmart.com. I could have used in store, but I know I won't order anything online :-(

I've read the workaround is to order a $15 gift card. That's what I did last year for the costco.com offer.

I ordered one (with free shipping) and already got the email from Amex.

Ah, clever! I rarely go to Walmart, so I am not sure if I will do this or not. Sad part is I was on my way there when I read this post, and didn't do the offer because it was online. Had I been smart enough to think about the gift card, I might have waited to go there

Thanks for the heads up on ordering a gift card. I saw this offer but couldn't think of anything I needed. Just ordered a $15 Subway gift card. That's a 33% savings.

It's as long as it's a $15 transaction. They had a deal like this at Home Depot a few months back and you could buy any gc as long as it was the minimum $x.xx for the deal.

I didn't see anything in the fine print that said it wouldn't. It excludes gift card reloads and prepaid cards, which I think means the Visa/Amex/MC gift cards. I guess I'll have to wait and see. Luckily it was a small amount of money and I know we'll use the gift card anyway.

Yeah. There's a Staples offer (works in the store too I think) right now ($15 off $100) which I'll probably use to purchase gift cards. I've done that before.

Yes. That's what I did. I got the email from Amex right away. Waiting on the credit.

Check your account for an order cancellation. These deals usually only work on physical gift cards that get sent in the mail. There are constant reports of egift card orders being cancelled.
