Amerisuites theme park shuttle?

Hello!

I'm staying at Amerisuites for the first night of our visit next month and I was wondering if anyone here knows what their theme park shuttle schedule is like? I'm thinking that it might be nice to let my guys head over to WDW early (for the Star Wars stuff) with the car and we could take the Amerisuites shuttle over when the girls are up and ready to go....

Is this a reasonable plan?

I did email them yesterday but haven't heard back yet. I wonder if there is anyone going to the Amerisuites soon... if so, maybe they can get us the schedule. When is your stay? Mine is 6/3-6/9

Mine is on 6/8....just the one night so we can get an early start Friday morning. I was hoping to get an All Star room and extend it for 3 nights...but this works okay for us.

Maybe we'll see you there! If so it will be at breakfast Friday...we won't be arriving until around midnight...leaving SC when dh gets done work.

I have no exp. w/ this hotels shuttle. However, I have used shuttles from other hotels in the WDW area. Service is usually spotty at best. What I found pretty consistent was that there is usually 2 or 3 runs in the morning and 2 or 3 runs in the afternoon/evening. Doesn't always matter what the park hours are, they don't run in accordance to those.

So it might be something like this for getting to the park:

7:45 am
8:20 am
9:00 am


Then home from the parks:

4:00 pm
7:00 pm
8:00 pm

**They did seem to run this close together, and seems most hotels only offer a few runs to and then a few runs from the parks each day. Most hotels also don't actually run the shuttle but it's a contracted company that also picks up at other hotels. Once the shuttle is full it's full-- they don't send another. I've seen people turned away on the last shuttle because it was too full. They were advised to call taxi's. So, it's not always the best thing to rely on because they are not reliable.

Yep, I will be there on the 9th for breakfast then heading over to the AS-Music for my last 2 days of my trip.. I will be the one eating her waffles with cream cheese on them

This may sound like I am being rude, but.... I would suggest you call them and ask.

I find an amazing tendency on these boards to discuss things when none of us have a real clue. And in that case the information you get is worth what you paid for it.....

The information online indicates that they have shuttle service to Epcot only, We're staying there 6/6-6/8 thanks to Priceline.

Carol-- I do agree the best course of action is to always get the info right from the hotel. However, employee's have also been known to give incorrect information. So, many times posters are looking just for an idea of what others may have exp. in the past. This way you can gather all the info together and come up w/ some sort of idea as to what to expect.

As I said I wasn't trying to be rude, but it does appear that no one here really has a clue... LOL! (I will be surprised if the only shuttle is to Epcot.. I could see MK, but not Epcot)

Where online did you find this? They emailed me but did not say it was just to Epcot. I have just emailed them back to ask "which parks or central location". I stayed there in April but never used the shuttle. As far as you saying thanks to Priceline.. I hope you mean that in a good way. This hotel is a decent place to stay. And at the price you may have won it at, I would think that you cannot beat it.

Thanks for the info! I was suspecting something like that, but I really was only looking for one ride to get on property so my guys could take the car. We stayed at a place up on Kirkman Rd. on our honeymoon (last time we passed it I think it was a Radisson, but it was called the Gateway Inn in back in 92 and for quite a while before that...as my dh stayed there as a child) and that was pretty much the shuttle schedule there. We were too young to get a rental car and it was awful having to leave the parks so early!

Hey, was the Gateway really on International but by Kirkman? I stayed at one that was called the Gateway back in 1977.. it was the round blue tall one & it is on International near Kirkman. It is still there, but I do not know the name of it..
also, I still haven't heard back as to where the shuttle drops you off at. I am thinking since they do not say, it is the Transportation Ticket Center. From there you can get on any bus to any park.
We should make it a point to meet for breakfast that morning. I will be there with Adventure Kat.. we can have a mini meet over waffles & bagels

This one was not tall...probably only 2 floors from what I recall and the building was sort of off-white, pale sand colored. They had a toucan in a cage inside and the pool was tiny and in a courtyard. It was definitely on Kirkman, but not far at all off International Dr. Its the place on the far side of the Perkins that is a lot or two off of Int. Dr. I know there was another Gateway Inn though....we were asked "which one?" several times while we were there.

Yes, we should definitely try to meet at breakfast...though I warn you, I'll probably be on my own with a 2yo and 6yo!

Seems I owe you an apoligy for thinking that it could not just be EPCOT . I did finally get the actual drop off from them.. it is only EPCOT But where on the net did you find it. I know I couldn't. Here is the last email from them....

Thank you for your e-mail. The AmeriSuites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South property provides the shuttle transportation to SeaWorld and the Epcot Park. Then, when they drop you off at the Epcot Park, their Disney Worlds transportation will pick you up from Epcot and take you to all of the Disney theme parks. Disney’s shuttle transportation is free of charge. I hope that this information will help you.

The one I stayed at was really tall & roundish. It is still there but I cannot remember the name of it now. It had a sort of circular courtyard in the center too..
As far as breakfast, it will be me, my 13DD, maybe her 12yr old friend & AdventureKat should be there with her 3 yr DS. So mine can help you at least carry your food for ya..
