Has anyone stayed at the AmeriSuites Lake Buena Vista recently? I think it’s on Calypso Cay. We stayed there probably 5 or 6 years ago and really liked the place. But now I’m seeing some comments online about a bad odor in the rooms. I wanted to book at this hotel but I’m wondering what this bad odor is all about. Has anyone experienced this?

I just got that hotel thru Priceline for the week before Easter. I am wondering the same as you. I have heard some good things about the complex, but also reading some negatives..

We stayed there for one night in Feb. via priceline . The only thing i smelled was the breakfast in the morning which was pretty good. This place is 5 or 6 years old? I would have guessed it was newer. I would stay here again. There is a new walmart really close too, less than 1/2 mile away.

Where did you see the reviews about the odor? We stayed there last April and are staying there again this April, really like the areas, but now that you mention it, there was a slight odor of pet urine in our room, surley it wouldn't be in all the rooms. I would like to read the reviews about this.

I know I read on their web site that they allow pets under 30lbs. That may be what you smelled... I am going to have to remember to request a room that has not had a pet in it.

We stayed there in october 2004 and they had just had one hurricane and another whilst we were there, some areas smelt damp but under the circumstances there wasn't much they could do about that because the roof had leaked, i would of certainly stayed there again but our TA have stopped using this hotel. We found it absolutely fine, i;m just thinking maybe some people might be referring to the damp smell (had a sister in law there who kept moaning about it) i felt they were doing all they could to sort the problem and would not worry about.

can you guys post yr experience about this hotel. i have recieved an awesome deal on priceline for this hotel....

i just wanted to know is there any resort fees included ..

rest the reviews on tripadvisor are good.
