How do you judge a pianist, singer, and rapper against each other and come up with a winner anyway??

My husband made a good point during the show. NBC pays each member of Friends 1 million dollars/episode and this show only had to pay 3 kids for a total of 85 thousand for the whole run of the show...reality TV will be here for a while I bet...

We all know that she was the most talented, but she did not have much in the way of interaction with the crown. How can you when you are playing the piano, and wasn't that half of their score??
