About the election, we know, believe me , we are aware
Forest fires are sadly all over, this was our sunset Friday .A fireball We could smell it strongly
And the first part of our flooding was the remnants of the hurricane (not as bad the south), but record rain for here.

I was not only talking about the presidential election but our local ones. Senate races and House seats are involved this year, along with state and local positions as well. Not to mention each state and county (or even town) have proposals that residents must vote on as well. It's complicated more than usual this year.

But back to happier things. Canadians, what would you change in your Epcot pavilion or add to make it more authentically Canadian?

Do Anglo-Quebeckers generally vote Bloc federally, or not?

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! The weather here is spectacular here this lovely weekend with golden trees and bright blue sunny skies as far as the eye can see. What day are you all celebrating and what's on your feast table?

We're doing it on Monday, which is actually rare for us; hosting extended family here at our place. Traditional turkey meal, which for us is not complete without mashed turnips, yams pan-fried with brown sugar and brussels sprouts with bacon and butter and that ubiquitous green jello salad with the cream cheese/whipped cream and pineapple. The relish tray MUST include deviled eggs and pickled beets and marble cheese, even when there are so many nicer choices. Dessert will be 4 kinds of pies and a chocolate something-or-other.

Traditional dinner- I’m taking pumpkin pies and whipped cream.

We are eating a small butterball (pre frozen) tonight. With the small fixings, stuffing, potatoes, etc.
It’s the 2 of us, and we are just back from vacation, still on that weird back home mode. We will eat a nice meal, and have it behind us.

It’s the 2 of us, and we are just back from vacation, still on that weird back home mode. We will eat a nice meal, and have it behind us.

Yes, we were thrilled to see all the provinces. So much of it wasn't what we were expecting. PEI was absolutely surreal; so quaint and peaceful-feeling. It tempted us to pack in our high-speed lives and move out there to become oyster farmers. As for the cruise itself, well...I recounted our misadventures on another CB thread a few weeks ago entitled "Ever Miss the Boat? We did.".

Interestingly, I don't think I know a single person IRL that's from PEI. Half of Newfoundland is here, and there are tons of people from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. I now realize that probably nobody ever wants to leave PEI.

Just curious - is your family francophone? If so, I could see the draw to New Brunswick.
